Mizuno no longer taking JPX 919 custom orders for Hot Metal line?

Just tried ordering a custom JPX Hot Metal Pro 4 iron from Carl's Golfland to add to my forged set and I was told by Carl's that they got an e-mail from Mizuno saying they could no longer do custom orders for the hot metal series.....was pretty bummed. Anyone else run into this? Any recommendations on an alternative? Was thinking maybe of doing an MP-20 HMB 4 iron with the recoil 95 shaft I was going to get, but now sure how that would blend with my JPX 919 forged.

too bad, was going to get a set, have to wait until next models.. I did order the wedges 2 weeks ago, my current set are junk.

Wedges have not come in at my local EW store, contacted mizunoNA on IG, they are 3 weeks out on anything...if I knew that when I ordered the wedges, I wouldn't have ordered them, dilemma

I sold HM pros to buy 919 forged. Then found out 919 series is done. HMB is the answer, but I’m gonna wait for 921 jpx forged in September.

i liked the 900 Forged better than the 919 Forged. Thought it felt better. Am eager to see the next generation.

i just got a HMP 5 iron 2 weeks ago, must have got in just under the wire. new JPX's have to be just around the corner.

I was thinking about ordering a set of 919 Hot Metals with Steelfiber i110 shafts until I saw there was no longer a left-handed option. Oh well.

As of mid June Mizuno had sold out of all 919 heads so custom orders stopped. There is still some inventory in stock around at big box stores and online but probably not for much longer.

Yeah, this has been the case for the last week or so, The Forged were gone about 10 days ago. All in preparation for the new line being announced this summer.

I was able to order a set from 4,5 HMP & 6-PW Forged from DD at the beginning of June. Looks like I was lucky.

I went in for a fitting today and had been considering JPX 919F as well as Srixon z785, Ping i210, and TM P760.

Was super bummed when I saw a few days ago that Mizuno ended custom builds until the new model is out.

Ended up getting super lucky, in that my fitter's shop happened to have a 919F 4-GW set in lefty!

the 919F outperformed the others in my fit, so we ordered KBS $ Taper 130x shafts and are going to do the build in house.

Went from being sure that they were gonna be impossible to get to now they'll be ready for pickup next week. Gonna buy a lotto ticket.
