Just got word my Diamana TB just arrived to my builder fitter to get built for my new SIM Max 2 head. I’ll share thoughts when I get her and a bucket or two.

Nice, like to hear the comparison with the AV Raw Blue (much cheaper in $$).

Yeah 100%, I’ve been playing a “blue” profile for ever and it just works. Atmos TS Blue is more similar to TB on the EI profile. AV Raw Blue 65S is a little more linear that the Atmos TS Blue and the TB or the Speeder Evo VII. Those three are very close in profile on paper. 
 

I have all of the above to test so regardless I’ll share my thoughts on the TB. Looks beautiful that’s part of it lol

Looking forward to hear your results. I had been an Atmos TS Blue for years.  

 

I have been messing around all winter with the Diamana BF, TB, Ventus Blue and now Venture Red in my TSi3.  Honestly, I was cheering for the TB but I can’t seem to make it sing like the BF did for me.  Great results from the Venture Blue and Red.  Prefer the feel of the Red, as it reminds me of the Diamana BF,

LOL. He’s on it. He just did grips for me in one day turn around on my MIzuno 921F’s and wedges. He is fast. This one is waiting on the TB to arrive is suspect as the SIM Max 2 was earlier than at least I anticipated.

Just put together the best combo I’ve ever hit.  Tsi2 10 with a TB 70x , so stable through the ball , yet lively feeling.    Found the launch I was looking for without the spin and noodle I can’t control.  
 

still some  fine tuning to do I’m sure , and  it’s cold as crap out. But I’m flying my personal best markers at home in the cold.  I’m sure warm weather will only wow me more.  Can’t say enough about how good this feels.  Larger butt end of this shaft is great for us big handed guys too in my opinion.  ( don’t have to build up as much tape ).

after testing the diamana TB i think its the next, greatest blueboard ever made. 

i think if this was in a SIM2 ti 3w it would replace most people's drivers. consistency from shot to shot, low spin and mid flight...feels great and performs even better. such a great shaft.

FWIW i saw a slight increase in ballspeed with the TB over my Tensei AV white proto 2.0.

Don’t doubt it.  I’ve not been on a monitor lately with mine. But I know I’m hitting it farther and farther.   Funny you say that too.  I have the same 2.0 pro white as my lower launch shaft for the tsi2.   And I just don’t hit it as far. That’s bottom line. It comes out lower and  slower.  And I wanted to be a fan of that shaft.

it's interesting to me -- i can juice up the AV to higher loft in the SIM2 head and get just as far as the TB -- but when i do that, the wind becomes an issue -- it comes out and goes high and no spin. 

The TB i can set at stock setting, will come out low/mid and get to apex with a piercing flight, then carry for a very long time -- then come down with some roll.

makes it tough to determine which to game on a daily basis. i think if i were playing courses with some run - i'm going to go with the TB...if i have to carry it to X  and it's wetter...i'd prolly go AV lofted up.

Did you manage to test the 1K as well vs the TB?

What I like about TB is it takes a smooth swing or an aggressive swing with equal proficiency. Spin doesn’t spike up on poor contact either. TB is making my 1K nervous!

Love the TB, play it just under 45 inches and tipped an inch in my g410! So stable and great feel!

Reviving an old post Phizzy. Been on the hunt for a AD TP replacement in the Diamana line. You say this is a AD TP with lower spin? Say it ain’t so. This sounds like a winner for me. Love the TP, but lower spin would be perfect.

Both TB and 1K feel exceptionally smooth throughout the swing they load differently which changes how I would rate them. In my hands, the 1K requires a strong pass at the ball for best results. TB loads in a way for me that it will take a revved up swing or a smooth 80% swing without missing a beat. 
 

1K gave me my longest drives but had worse standard deviation in carry distance, spin and dispersion. TB on average was 4 yards behind 1K but TB was way more consistent shot to shot. So for my game consistent repeatability in the fairway or closer to the fairway on average is worth giving up 4 yards on average or the odd high launch low spin bomb the 1K provides. 
 

Both are great shafts. It’s just clear to me TB and Tensei Pro Blue are better fits for my game.

Spins a bit less.  200-400 rpm less on average.  Nothing drastic but could make a 10-15 yard difference.

Played a Pro Blue off and on the last couple years and liked it for the most part, but while the Ventus Black has been really good, I’m wondering if going back to a blueboard-ish profile will be a little easier to manage round to round. Curious if the TB is a huge leap over the Pro Blue.

I have pro blue in my 4 wood and TB in driver.  To me - the pro blue is a stiffer feeling shaft.  But has that noticeable kick down through the ball.  Like  it loads snd unloads harder.  
 

The TB just doesn’t feel like it loads or unloads hard. But not in a boardy way.  Just in a stable but easy to swing way. And the TB launches higher best I can tell. But I haven’t hit one in 3 wood for direct comparison.
