I could see it being more like -9 or -10, but I can't imagine it's going to be tougher than the Memorial which Rahm won at -9. At least without Nicklaus sneaking around setting the pins and killing the greens haha.

60 and sunny is about perfect. That is not typically what we get in the summer. 60 with a 20 mph damp foggy drizzle is miserable. Temp is still 60, feels about 20 degrees different though.

I am picking Brooks to repeat.. He is rounding into form and the course is going to play way longer than the stated yardage due to being at sea level. There will be some light but consistent wind and very heavy and moist air. The course will be soft due to all the moister.

Those mocking the temps in the 50’s to low 60’s just don’t understand what heavy, wet fog and 20+ mph winds coming right off the Pacific Ocean feels like. It goes right to your bones, and if it doesn’t clear, 4+ hrs in it is a long time to stay loose.

I live in the Sierra foothills after years in San Francisco and I wear shorts year round; no issue with wearing shorts down into the mid 20’s. 55-60* at Harding can be long pants, rain pants, layers on top and gloves between shots. It’s just different.

I’m picking Cantlay. He’s got that stoic thing going that works well in uncomfortable weather.

What's the play? Do you dare tempt driving it with a huge fade around the cypress with OB left of the green? Is the play just to lay up short of the fairway bunkers? Does a hole on the left or back of the green change the play versus if the hole is on the front tongue or right hand side?

Folks, the weather is not that bad. It's shorts weather if you're moving around, if you're standing still then you might want a jacket. Wind will come into play especially later in the day. If / when TW wins this thing, the weather will be about 3000 on the list of biggest things he had to overcome, right after traffic on the way to the course (and it's Corona season..), right before fire ants. Non-issue.

Cantlay is my pick too, he grew up in Long Beach and is coached by Jaime Mulligan, he is used to this weather and this grass and the heavy air, second choice is Morikawa, and I like Phil M to be in the mix come Sunday

Im just now realizing that without a subscription to ESPN+, you cannot watch Tiger Woods' first and second rounds.

He tees off too early- when coverage is streaming on ESPN+. Im pretty sure there is no option to record it/ view previous on that app either. What a joke.

I love coming home from a long day at work and watching Tiger in the majors on a recording where i can skip the commercials (which have become nearly half of the broadcast).
