Michigan Club Fitters

MY apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I live in the middle of the country in Michigan and looking for a club fitter to get fit for irons, and potentially my entire bag, but most importantly irons first. I'm willing to take a drive and make a weekend out of it if needed. Any recommendations on good golf fitters?
I've done a little research and there is:
Miles of Golf

Carls Golf Land

Maple Hill

Club Champion

Any experience with there or any others?

maple hill is fantastic as long as you have the time scheduled in for the trackman fitting.

If you just show up its a different story.

Maple hill gets my vote got my irons fitted there this spring. They also have a very big inventory of lots of brands and good prices. The big plus is after you hit on trackman you can take the cubs out to the range and see what they really can do.

I've also had some good results at Maplehill... the really nice part is being able to find a few good candidate clubs and then walking across the street to the range and determining which works best off the turf for you.

With Miles, you may pay more than Maple Hill. Miles does have some great fitters, and some that are for the masses. If you pay for the extra trackman fitting, you should be golden.

Be open minded, and try to find an iron shaft first if you don’t have a favorite.

Do you all feel that it is necessary to do the trackman (Maxx) vs GC4 Basixx fitting at Miles? I booked a fitting for my father and I. He's a 75 yo and has never been fitted. Neither have I. I'm about a 12 handicap and he's about about a 21. We both have pretty old clubs (JPX 800 Pro for me). We do plan on ordering clubs, likely a full bag, and we both plan on going graphite iron shafts. Appreciate the help.

You may want to get the Maxx. A 12 is a pretty solid golfer, repeatable swing. Your dad will get shovels and love em!

Lol. I already told him, he’ll get Launchers and like it! (Judge Smails voice). Jk, but that’s probably what’s gonna happen. Appreciate the input.

I’ve called a few times and the Miles guys are very open and haven’t really pressured me or even suggested I do the Maxx. I like the idea of getting 100 percent of the fitting fee credited towards my purchase with the Basixx.

My iron short list are ZX5, G425, 921 Forged or Hots. Maybe a Titleist or King option. Willing to try anything, though. Wanna go graphite shafts since I had a horrible hand flare up last year, and I need to lessen the impact stress and vibration. Not looking to hit a 7-iron 200 yards, but I’d love to pick up 5-10 yards over my old 800 pros and have great dispersion. I get plenty of spin, 99 percent of the time backspin into every green with my irons.

Oh and we are doing this in a few weeks, so it will be a cold day in the booths. Thankfully heated. We wanna get new sticks before playing Whistling Straits.
