Using fishing line in the hosel when assembling irons..have you tried this?

I was recently watching a Mizuno European Tour Van video and they were using a small piece of fishing line in the hosel when they glue the irons. They said it made the fit tighter and helped if they have to later remove the shafts. I’m going to be building a set of irons soon and was thinking of giving this a try.
Has anyone tried this technique and were there any issues or tips you could pass on to me?

I've seen fishing line or a small rubber band used to temporarily affix the head to a shaft to measure length, frequency, etc.  But never heard of it used with epoxy.  Could also use drywall mesh tape if there is lots of play in the shaft.  Lots of threads on that.  But if you use the right ferrule and diameter shaft, shouldn't need much of anything.

The fishing line has been used for decades.  It is used to wedge the shaft to the hosel during assembly.  Allows for some moving of the assembled club and not worry too much about the orientation changing before the epoxy cures.  Has nothing to do with ease of disassembly.  
 

Ping used that idea and created a friction fit at the bottom of their hosels so that they could move the club down the assembly line before the epoxy had cured. 
 

Use a thin line. The line is just to give you tight fit.  Not to center the shaft.

I have used this method once, and it worked for me.  I tied a knot near the top of the hosel, and wrapped the line towards the tip.  Left some line that was inserted into the shaft, and prevented it from moving up.  I twisted the head onto the shaft the same way the line was wrapped as well.

After you have coated the hosel and the shaft with epoxy you only need to take a 2" piece of fishing line and place 1" of it in the hosel.  Then put the shaft in.  There should be enough friction now to hold the shaft in whatever orientation you place it in, without it moving too easily.  After it dries, you cut off the exposed line and then trim the ferrule as usual.

 

This process is really not needed at all unless you are one of those guys who can't stop yourself from fiddling with the club once you put it in a place to cure.  Or have shaky hands and have trouble with holding it steady while you align and then set it away.  I know one guy who is a really good clubmaker, but has the shakes so would help him.
