Do you guys think game improvement clubs should be banned for handicaps?

I went out today and played golf with my dad. I'm an ok golfer(like a 6-8 handicap), and I use blades. I played a 7000 yard course, which was a 74/140 rating. A good round would be a high 70's score on this course. My dad keeps his old clubs(1994 big bertha irons) at his 2nd home. On our 2nd round today, I decided to use his irons and play from his tees(Around 6300) yards. Game improvement clubs are not real golf clubs. It is like using a tennis racquet to hit a ball. You can't mishit the club. You can basically talk a halfswing with a 5 iron and hit it 180 yards. So, handicap wise, I would have the same handicap shooting a 75 from the middle tees with game improvement clubs as a 79 from the back tees with blades. Overall, I take no score seriously of anyone who uses game or super game improvement clubs

So, if they're that good, then play with them. Play any conforming club you choose. I will wager that your scores will not necessarily improve as much as you think.

If you look at many (most?) tour bags these days, their longer irons (DI, 3,4,5) are often "GI like", with blades in the scoring irons.

So you’re saying that everyone needs to play the same type of clubs for a system that levels the playing field? Why does it matter what club a player uses to get to a certain number if everyone has the option to play the same club or the the shorter tees? No one is forcing you to use blades or play from the back beside yourself. If it were that easy and everyone only wanted to play their best golf, not inflate their ego, the majority of players would be playing those types of clubs.
