Indoor Golf / Simulator Golf Tees?

I've transitioned to my local Trackman place to get swings in here in the winter in MN, but I'm not thrilled with the tee options - they either have the traditional rubber cylinder type of tee, or you can stick your own tee in the mat but it's not the kind of mat that is optimized for that (a standard length tee is too tall).

 

Wondering what you use as a tee for indoor / simulator golf?  I've seen some tees in golf youtuber videos that basically look like badminton shuttlecocks with the heads taken off, and other things that look like little foam pyramids.

 

Any thoughts / advice on what works well (and lasts)?

I bought some of the rubber tee holders (like what you'd putt under a mat though the little hole or see at a range) off amazon for a few bucks. It flies into the screen/net with every shot, which is annoying, but figured that just came the with territory...

I use the badminton type tees and then tie a string to it.  I then tuck the free end of the string under the mat so I don't have to chase after it everytime I hit.

There are 4 basic options.

1. The rubber tees

2. Tee Claw

3. Bird tees which are the shuttle c0ck looking ones

4. Tomahawk Tees. I use these and they are very very durable.

Birtees are the best i tried, buy off his website, a little cheaper than amazon etc...

BirTee® golf tees break down within a year of sim use. I'm in Michigan and 3 of them have cracked on me this winter, Nice design, but not durable. Will not purchase them again. The to 1/4 of the tee breaks lose.

Balls break frequently as well. What's your point?

1 year use out of a plastic product being hit multiple times at high speeds seems very good. I use the rubber tees with the string attached to them but still prefer birtees, if im hitting 50 balls a day I'd be more than happy if the tees last even close to a year

I'd imagine you could tether these with some fishing line and weights for outdoor mats use. The range I use you can't stick tees in very far so they all go flying down range which is super annoying.
