That's exactly what it all comes down to. The more I learn about equipment and Golf, the more I realize that it's all about playing what works best for your individual game and what you enjoy hitting and looking at.

 

The P7MC's are spectacular to look at, but it's like having a Ferrari and constantly having to drive it at 60 km/hr. I don't have a game that can take advantage of what the P7MC's have to offer, so I might as well play the P770's that are realistically a much better fit for me and my game.

 

Most of my bag is locked in for this year though and just going to focus on enjoying the season and improving. I definitely agree with you man, time's flying so we have to enjoy the time we have!!

Picked up a new to me beauty from the used section at my local shop for only $100!!

 

I’ve been shopping for an adjustable 3-Wood, and I’ve had the most success with TaylorMade 3W’s. But the Stealth 2 Plus costs more than a car payment, the OG Stealth Plus didn’t work for me, and the SIM Ti, and SIM2 Ti’s are sold out everywhere. So when I came across this, it was a no-brainer to test out!!

 

If this sticks in the bag, I’ll be ready to do my 2023 WITB…really like where all the other clubs in my bag are at currently!

Got some swings in at the range yesterday and today with the new M5 Ti and I absolutely love it!!

 

Very similar to the SIM2 Ti that I never should have let go. But the M5 Ti also has the added adjustability of the Draw/Fade sliding weight which I really like.

 

It naturally has a slight Fade bias like all TM Woods do, but putting the weight slightly on the Draw side helped me hit some gorgeous baby Draws and it should definitely be a Fairway finder and a weapon!

 

Have my first Tournament of the year on Sunday, and if all the clubs behave and perform, I’ll be ready for my 2023 WITB early next week!

Only tested it for 2 range sessions and it looks like it’s going to be fantastic! Just like the SIM2 Ti but with more adjustability.

First Tournament of the season yesterday (4 man Scramble). We finished Top 5 after being Top 3 most of the round. Unfortunately too many drinks on the Front 9 cost us on the Back 9, Lol!!

 

Now that my bag is battle tested, I’m ready to do my 2023 WITB!

 

Really like where my bag is at and I’m going to try to keep most of it intact until the end of the season. The clubs that are always the most at-risk in my bag are the Driver and 3W though, so we’ll see if they will stick.

Really like my bag setup right now for sure, and I feel like every club in the bag is a good fit for my necessary specs and game.

 

The Driver and 3W will always be on the hot seat in my bag, especially with the Stealth 2 and Paradym looking as awesome as they do, but these ones won’t be easy to kick out!

Haha…that would be incredible!! Kobe and Tim Duncan were actually my favourite players during that era! 
 

Duncan gets lost in the GOAT conversations, but if he had a bigger personality or a flashier game he would probably get mentioned in the Top 3-5 players of all time…very underrated!

It’s criminal how overlooked he is. Even with his laid back personality if he had landed in a market like LA, NY, Boston, or Chicago and retired with 5 rings he would without question be in the top 5 conversation.

Agree 100%!!
 

Tim Duncan’s career accomplishments definitely should put him in Top 5 status, but instead he’s barely talked about.

 

Even Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker should get way more recognition, but people outside of Argentina and France barely talk about them. Sad.

Yeah, I know how uncool it is to have Noodle Long & Soft as my favourite ball, especially here on WRX in the land of super swing speed monsters who all crush it 400+ yards off the Tee, Lol!!

 

Honestly, like you see from my WITB thread, it has nothing to do with money. I’ve just tried basically every ball on the market and I can’t find any ball that feels as good or performs as well for me as the Noodle. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

 

I’ve had a couple of TaylorMade balls over the last couple of years that I liked, but then they discontinue them. And I’ve liked the Titleist TruFeel balls as well, but not really as much as the Noodle. So this year I’ve just given in and embraced the Noodle no matter how uncool it is, Lol.

Honestly though, the Driver and 3W I’m most interested in are the Stealth 2 Plus, but I think @taylormade took it too far with the price increases.

 

I studied Economics in University, and in Economics there’s the concept of “Equilibrium Price” where supply and demand intersect.
 

You can see from my thread that I have no problem spending money on Golf equipment, but just out of principal I have a problem spending the same amount on 2 clubs as I would on a Mortgage payment. It’s just gotten a little too ridiculous in my opinion.

Not to thread hijack but that beast is on my wanted list, but as @BallerNate says, the money could go towards the mortgage 😄 (as we all know WXR's would be homeless snuggled up with our feet inside our driver headcover if it meant finding "the one").

i went and saw my fitter to try out a few different shafts in my ping g425 and decided to try the stealth2+ just for the hell of it. 

 

the numbers were too good to ignore.

i just picked it up tuesday, so i haven’t gotten it out on the course yet. i have a tee time sunday morning. 

 

but if it’s anywhere near as good on the course as it was on the range…

Yeah, Real Estate is out of control in the Toronto area for sure unfortunately.

 

I bought my first condo in Toronto when I was only 23 yrs old. How many young people can say that now. Very sad.
