I did have one instructor who taught me that technique of stacking the left-hand side.

 

I guess I haven’t done it because I don’t want to create even more of an imbalance between my left and right sides, and make my right leg even weaker.

 

But definitely something to keep in mind for sure.

The biggest thing it did for me with irons was make my bottom control very consistent which led to consistent contact and improved approach shots. I still do the stuff PT has recommended to strengthen my knee but I think it is probably about as good as it is going to get. With that being said I don’t feel in anyway that starting 55/45 instead of balancing 50/50 would weaken the rear leg. Beautiful thing about golf is there is 100 different ways to skin the cat and it’s even better when you find the way that works for you.

Definitely have to find what works best for you and your game.

 

I’ll experiment more with loading the left side a little for sure and find the right balance. Open-minded to all solutions, and ready to go low consistently this upcoming season!

I’ve been searching for the best fit in the putter spot this off-season.
 

Hey, what else is there to do when we’re buried under snow and drowning in rain, Lol!

 

Here’s another one to test out! I had really good results with the TP insert previously with a TP Collection SOTO, and had success with the head shape in an Odyssey 7 and a TM Redline Monza.

 

Added some lead tape to dial in the weighting, and also because I wasn’t a big fan of all the TM branding on the sole. 
 

We’ll see if this TaylorMade TP Collection Bandon 3 can Win the top spot in the bag…let the best putter Win!!

I’d say the TP Bandon 3 is the front-runner as my gamer right now.

What’s up WRX’rs!

 

My update is that I decided to go back to a Black Golf bag for this season. Have been doing research, and for some reason I just keep going back to this Nike Air Sport 2.0 bag (3rd or 4th time buying a different version of this bag).

 

This one was actually tough to find…it was the last Black one anywhere in Central or Eastern Canada. Not sure if Nike is discontinuing making Golf bags, or if there’ll be a new version coming out this year.

 

Also picked up a Jordan Fadeaway bag, and thought for sure that would win out. But the quality of the workmanship is pretty poor for the price, and I think the Air Sport 2.0 bag is actually a better designed bag overall. As always, whatever works best is what I’m sticking with! 🤷🏽‍♂️👌🏽

Yeah man, such a good bag! I’ve tried so many other bags and just can’t find anything to beat it.

 

I’m really hoping this wasn’t their last Golf bag release. This bag in Black was very tough to find this time around.
 

Heard a couple of rumours that Nike might be pulling out of the Golf manufacturing world altogether, and splitting with Tiger was just the beginning. We’ll see…hopefully that’s not the case. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

So you guys know I’ve been on a relentless putter search this Winter.
 

Over the last week I rolled all the new 2024 putters that were out at my local Golf shop. And what do you know…the best results I had by far were from a re-released classic.

 

My 2 finalists were this revamped Odyssey White Hot OG 7 S, and the new AI-One 7 S.

 

The revolving door for putters should be slowing down here soon…countdown to the season’s on!

I'd love to try a fang style with a neck like that. I've got a #7 but its the double bend shaft straight into the head, and I just cant stand the look of it... always looks wonky to my eye lol

Yeah man, I’ve been trying every possible style of putter and very style of neck.

 

I picked up a fang style TM TP Collection Bandon 3 a couple of weeks ago that was rolling beautifully. But I just  wasn’t a fan of the look of it, and if I’m being totally honest, I’m just not big on TaylorMade right now at the stage that I’m at.

 

This White Hot OG fits my eye beautifully though, and really like the updated/revamped esthetics of this 2023 version! Early testing has been very good for sure!

I had the 20th Anniversary edition of the White Hot OG 7. It rolled for me beautifully then too, but I didn’t like the look of the weights with the little rim/spinner things on the sole, Lol! I think it had a plumber neck too, but not 100% sure.

I was out of town with the family the last couple of days, and stumbled on a really cool thrift store find while I was there.

 

No idea what year this was made, or how much it’s worth. But it looks like hand-crafted leather, and it was in new condition with the stickers still on it.

 

Hey, not bad for $5.49, Lol!! 😎🤷🏽‍♂️

When I saw this MacGregor bag, it reminded me of a Titleist Linkmaster. No time limit on craftsmanship and class.

Nice bag great price and in stunning shape. I will venture to say that bag is from the 90s. It appears to have real metal zippers. Those Srixon irons do look good in it though. I do not know the humidity etc in your area but it is important to keep those metal zippers lubed up. I live in Coastal SC so you can imagine the salt and humidity. I use WD 40 to keep metal zippers free. It is non greasy and will not stain the bag

WOW what a coincidence. My league buddy who winters here is from Nova Scotia. He keeps a house and membership here. When we draw as partners we ham and egg it up. I call him my Canadian Brother from another Mother. Now he will going back up there in like 3 weeks or so and will not return until around October

Couple of drops of clipper oil occasionally works well as an alternative without aerosol can, and lasts longer between treatments. Learned that one during my time living on volcanic rock in Pacific 👍🏻

Wonder if good old 3 in 1 oil would do the trick? That is what I use on my clippers and firearms.
