Absolutely…thanks for the tip man!

 

Unfortunately I won’t be able to hit it outside until late March/early April here in Canada, but the early testing in simulators is very promising!

 

Love the look, sound, and feel, and it seems to be INCREDIBLY forgiving!

 

Looking forward to getting it fully dialed in, and getting it out on the course this season for sure…should be fantastic!

@BallerNate @rukahs I agree its a good driver i think its one of Taylormade's best looking driver but I still cant get behind the carbon face feels weird to me. As of now i am sticking with my M3 460 9.5* PROJECT X HZRDUS SMOKE BLACK 60 6.5 and my TAYLORMADE M3 15*PROJECT X HZRDUS SMOKE BLACK 70 6.5 untill the faces crack.

That’s fair man…totally understandable.

 

I agree that the Carbon faces on the Stealth line were terrible…but the faces on the Qi10 and Qi35 are definitely MUCH improved.

 

I personally preferred the sound and feel off the face of the Qi10 Max Driver than the Qi35 Max for whatever reason, but obviously it’s all personal preference.

 

My favourite TM Driver was the SIM2 Max, but I think the Qi10 Max will be better once I get it dialed in. We’ll see…time and testing will tell!

I dont know buddy its hard to beat the sim and sim 2 drivers they are amazing my son loves his OG Sim Max

For sure, the OG SIM and SIM2 Max will go down as 2 of the best Drivers ever made!

Can't beat the old M line!! Loved that series. I know what you mean about the carbon, the Stealth I HATED but this Qi10 feels way better, to me.

Yeah man, I feel like no one on Planet Earth tried harder to make the Stealth line work more than me, Lol.

 

I tried 4 or 5 different heads in Stealth Plus, and standard Stealth, in 9* and 10.5* heads, and every possible setting, and every possible weight. And no matter what I tried, it sounded and felt terrible, and just couldn’t hit them consistently.

 

There’s no doubt that the Qi10 and Qi35 have come light-years from where the Stealth line was, and TM has made clear the Carbon faces aren’t going anywhere.

 

Can’t wait to get the Qi10 Max out on real courses and real Driving Ranges…should be about 5 more weeks here in Canada!!

Never thought I would buy a PING bag, and never understood what all the hype was about.

 

That was until I took a closer look at this Hoofer today at my Golf shop, and was blown away by the attention to detail, functionality, and build quality!

 

I’ve been researching bags over the last month or so, and this one checked the most boxes by far! Only other bag that checks as many boxes was the Vessel Player V Pro, but at $695 + tax, I just couldn’t justify it.

 

Spring can’t get here soon enough!!! 😎✌🏽

Good question. For this bag search, these were the main criteria I was looking for:

 

1) Wanted a taller bag than I had. Because my irons and wedges are extended by 1”, my clubs looked like giraffe necks in my old bag.

 

2) Wide enough top to fit 14 clubs without club tangle. My current grips are Golf Pride MCC Plus4 Midsize, so need enough space in the top and in the base. Last couple of seasons I only carried 13 clubs, now I’m up to 14.

 

3) High quality materials and build.

 

4) Stand bag that also works well on push carts and power carts.

 

With that criteria, the best potential fits I could come up with were the PING Hoofer that I bought, the Titleist Player 5 Hybrid, and the Vessel Player V Pro.

 

The Vessel would’ve been my choice if money wasn’t a factor, but I just can’t justify paying over $800 for a bag.

 

And in terms of design and features, I preferred the PING over the Titleist once I saw them side-by-side in person.

Ping bags are fantastic, used them since the 80’s buuuuttttttt….the club tangle is beyond irritating. Only way to minimize it is to make sure that you hold the bag upright when pulling a club. That is the only drawback to an otherwise perfect design. For some people it is a deal breaker, hopefully you’re a person blessed with patience. If so, you’ll love the bag.

Another buddy said the same thing when I told him I bought a PING Hoofer.

 

I think that’s one of the improvements they’ve made in this 2025 version though.

 

I’ve been messing with it since buying it and loading it up yesterday, and there is very little club tangle.

 

There’s none when the bag is upright (which is how I’ll use it most often), and verrrry minor tangle when the legs are activated.

 

I could see it being an issue if you carry all the time, and activate the legs 2-3 times per Hole, but even then it doesn’t seem too major in this new version.

Been carrying some version of the hoofer for the last 4 years and don't have anything to complain about except the occational club tangle.

 

Nice light bag with plenty of space for stuff. Will probably get one for myself when my free bag days are over lol.

The Hoofer is on my short list for a new bag.  My old Sun Mountain tore, so I need to get a new bag this year.  I saw the Hoofer lite at the store and like the looks of it, but I want something a little bigger.  Glad to hear it is working out for you.

@BagofToast @MikeW2 @DE-ILLINI Yeah, as always time will tell. The early signs/first impressions of this 2025 version of the PING Hoofer are super promising, but I’ll keep you guys posted when I have more time with it and get it out onto the course in the Spring!

 

So far it’s looking like the best bag I’ve had, but we’ll see how it goes with more time for sure.

The Hybrids are going to be tough to kick out of the bag, but that’s always subject to change, Lol.

 

My Rogue ST Max OS Hybrid 4 is the longest standing club in my bag, and is arguably my favourite club overall. And the Hybrid 5 I just got from Callaway in December to test out a 2 Hybrid setup and replace my 4-iron.

 

What’s unique about them is the Oversized heads that are almost like Fairway Woods, and they’re both custom built to my specs (0.5” long, and 1* Upright).

 

I’ll take a look at the new Srixon Hybrids though for sure, and I’m always open to change as you guys know, Lol.

Hahaha…yup!!

 

I didn’t notice anything wrong during the season, but during this long and painful Winter while I was sitting there staring at my bag, I noticed how freakishly long my clubs looked one day, Lol.

 

And the problem with me is, once I get it inside my head that something’s not right with my equipment, I start relentlessly pursuing the next option immediately.
