TENSEI Pro White 1K

Something about the verbage in that sell sheet make me think this is gonna be a really high end top dollar limited release similar to the Diamana X, not just the next gen of the tensei pro line.

The MSRP is $500 USD. Jake at MCA told me over email the 1K is the next generation of the Tensei Pro line. I would expect the Blue and Orange to follow in the next few months.

Ok, thanks for the knowledge. Excited to see the rest of the line. Hope there will be a ZF equivalent in there somewhere.

ZF is very similar to blue maybe just tip a blue a touch more if there isn’t something exactly.

 

very interested if an orange profile in this comes out.

Keep looking, with my experience at PGA SS, your likely to find some employee incompetent enough to drop a digit from a price tag.

tough to give a full review off one round but feel like I owe you guys initial impressions 

 

the good:

-hit 8 fairways 

-saw some spots on the golf course I’ve never been before 

-everybody in my group saw the design and was asking “what is that?!”

-it even sounds solid. If that’s even possible from just a shaft change 

-definitely tight 

 

The less good:

-had to fight it more than I’m used to

-definite adjustment period 

-hit one OB, but my focus was lacking

 

Will report back. But I’m encouraged by the positives.

Soooo... the shaft did all right swings and you did all the wrong swings?? That's what I got from what I read. No doubting its a good-great shaft but not at the price, there's plenty others at better pricing. I remember the craze around the Tensei Orange cuz Tiger was trying it.

Ouch.  🤦🏼‍♂️ But put a 1K in it and I’m sure dispersion will be tight!  
 

I’m surprised to see this already with AV Raw Whites relatively recent release.

The AV line would be a step down (maybe 2 steps down) from the 1K. The 1K is the current Tensei Pro White replacement. The AV Raw White Proto 2.0 may be close but lacks the super premium 1K cloth and boron tip.

Just picked up a TX in a TSi3.  Will be a couple weeks before it's here.  Probably another week before it's on BST.  😄

 

Currently playing a Ventus Black 6x.  Have never tried a TX, so I have a feeling it may be a bit too stiff for me (I probably only swing 112 - 117 on course, and don't have a super violent transition).  

 

We'll see though!  Should be a fun experiment.

Based on the description it seems like it is a material change and a minor profile tweak, so just an iteration as opposed to something super new and exciting. The EI profile is the same shape as the previous CK Pro White and the Kuro Kage XD, so they are sticking with this stiffer handled version of the "White" profile to leave room for something more linear with a softer handle, maybe a future 1K Orange or maybe they will update the "Red" profile to be more in line with either what they have done in the recent past (R-Series, RF, modified "Blue" profiles) or what Fuji is doing with the Ventus Red (modified "White" profile).

I would love to see the 1K line come with 5 profiles; white, blue, red, orange and a ZF style white/blue hybrid.

I was told they are going to be a little softer in the handle, should have them in hand Friday or Monday to confirm

I like my rogue white and really have no reason to switch but have always wanted to try a 50's gram TX low or mid spin shaft. This could be the one I try.

Replacement for Pro. Slightly stiffer I believe.

Curious to hear some reviews on these once people put them in play.  I'm getting along very well with my current setup, but always liked the pro white.. hoping to see some reviews soon..

Damn - I didn't realize they made a 50TX or I would have gone that route.  Oh well - we'll see how the 60 plays and go from there.

The 1K is the best shaft I’ve ever hit. I played the TPW for a long time and this is such a good improvement on an already killer shaft. It will be in my bag with the driver at minimum. I’m considering putting it in my fairway. 
 

It feels extremely stable, yet smooth. This profile is so good.

I'm pretty married to my driver shaft but this could be an attractive candidate for the 3-wood. 🤔

Got these in yesterday and built them up, touch softer freq wise compared to the AV series but not much at all, looks like the tip section is actually a bit softer in this model but nothing too too crazy.

 

Haven't been able to hit them yet but will test them out on Monday.

Swingweight wise they were about a point heavier than my AV and CK Orange parts. so the balance point is still decently high on these. Expect these to end up in my bag to start the season, hopefully thats in 6-8 weeks 😞  but will also be very excited if an Orange profile in this comes out with a slightly stiffer tip section and a little softer counterbalanced handle.

 

The look of the shaft is pretty nice, a lot going on down the back of the shaft but classy look on the front and slightly longer White band on them.
