New Bridgestone Ball?

Straight from the gram. It screams shallow dimple to me which is a trait of the AVX and a few other longer balls out there. Thoughts? Maybe some Bryson input?

 

Wasn’t  sure to put it on here or the ball section so same post in both spots.

Looks a little bizarre to me. Kinda looks hexagonal main dimple with a round interior  dimple.

I don't disagree on the bizarre. I thought the Nike RZN Tour Plats / Blacks were funky along with the Bridgestones, etc. This is just another cool design. Looking for inputs from Bryson etc.

Just saw it. They're seeking testers. No shock there. I imagine this will be their new tour ball.

 

However if they don't do it in yellow, I may jump off the Bridgestone train.

I gotta say, their yellow is solid. Found a newer BRXs a few days ago on the course while looking for my ball. No one was around so I grabbed it. Played it yesterday. It didn't remind me of that highlighter colored Tour RZN Nike Black they used to make years ago for the swoosh brand but, it was still pretty appealing. 

They need to make a yellow.

There is a New e6 ball to released later this month.  It could be that but don't know for sure. Can't remember when the current Tour B came out.

I can't imagine they would have Joe Anybody testing a ball made for Bryson. That would fit just about nobody... But then again this is GolfWRX and Bryson is below average compared the animals on this site so who knows.

You got the drop on everything there is golf related and I'm pretty damn jealous haha. Thinking about it, it would make sense if it was the new E6 ball. The shallow dimples definitely could help with distance and we all know the market loves that.

The e6 was so popular and people cried big time when it went away. So they have to bring it back.

 

in some ways it reminds me of the Union green ball. Has that raised part inside the dimple.

Yeah but the ball they brought back is completely different than the E6 that was a hit.  Might have been the 2016-2017 time frame or something like that?  Basically the ultimate all-arounder for a mid handicap player that doesn't really want to pay for premium, but can benefit from a good ball.  I have an unopened box in the garage that I'm quite hesitant to put into play.  Now it's a 2-piece low cost distance ball.

Isn't the E12 Soft just the old E6? 3 piece surlyn cover ball.

I thought the e12 soft was essentially a lower compression version of the old e6?  The old e6 I thought was like a goldilocks between e12 soft and e12 speed, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am sure there are some differences. I am unclear as to what they are. For the record, I don’t think our side of price anyone should be playing a ball that is covered with surlyn. 
 

Everyone would benefit from a urethane cover.

I 100% agree. The other piece to the puzzle on dumping the old E6 is the RX and RXS basically fit the same golfer but have the urethane cover to help the short game area.

Correct. Better ball in every way except price. There are starting to be enough lower cost value options there now as well.

Shallow dimples have more lift. It might be super low spin and the dimples need to keep it in the air.
