Does anyone else use this with the OG MLM? Of lately I am having issues with it reading swings and I don't know what to do. Here are two swings, one it misread low and one it read fine. Tell me what else I can do? The Rapsodo CS was not super helpful when I escalated to them

same problems today in an outdoor setting. I may have to resort back to my PRGR. I don't get why the MLM struggles so much.

How much higher is people’s Driver eSpeed vs their on-course driver clubhead speed?

My stack Espeed is 107. I took my PRGR to the driving range after my stack session today and hit about 20 drives as hard as I could. The fastest I could swing while hitting a ball with 98 mph.

But then I could take a practice swing without a ball and swing 106 pretty effortlessly.

I almost thought my PRGR was broken while hitting a ball because it would read so much slower than my practice swing. , but I’m thinking more likely. It’s just a mental disconnect of me slowing down when a ball is present.

anyone have experience with us?

Just started my 3rd program FSS. I did Full and Max speed swings with the 195g setup. My Full was 1mph than my max. Is that normal as you progress in the stack? Part of it is I was also having some lead foot pain towards the end of my session and couldn't use the ground as well during my max swings.

For those who are interested: The Flex program is great for busy schedules.  My routine has become 3 sessions a week.  I usually do Overload 15 min on Monday, Mixed or overspeed 25 on Wed or thurs, then Overspeed or mixed 8 min on the weekend.  I find this works better for me than 2x per week with FSS as it doesn't wear me out as much making it hard to do when i'm playing more often.  Last week I had events tues and thursday so I changed it up to mixed 15 min monday then overspeed 8 min on thursday morning.  Finished it off Saturday with 25 minutes of mixed. This really works better for me personally.  Not sure about gains and losses at this point but i'm more concerned with the load on my body and being able to play golf a few times a week somewhat competently.

I know it’s been discussed in here, but how do you/how are you all mixing in Stack with a weightlifting routine? I’m on a 5 day PPLUL program right now and feel like I can’t get into the right mindset to Stack after a lift.

Stack before lifting. Better for coordination. I stack beforehand. Works as a good warm up too

Wish I’d read this earlier..was religious about the 2-3x per week and was losing speed because I was practicing/playing the other days. Took a week off and my original speed is back up! Didn’t realize how much just the 20-30 swings in Stack can affect game speed when paired with lifting/playing.

That said, despite the 195g waning, had a new high carry this week at 114 CHS, 166 ball speed and 298 (at least on GCQ).

Debating on wether or not to take the plunge into Stack. The thing that sold me recently was the wedge mode. Seems like a great all in one system at this point with speed, putting, and wedging accounted for.

I'm debating between either the Stack Radar bundle or the MLM2PRO bundle. Would love some advice here. The MLM2PRO ends up being a ~$300 CAD upgrade from Stack Radar but it doesn't have the wedge mode automatically intergrated. That said, they have their own wedge combines.

Questions:
- How accurate is the stack radar as an actual launch monitor? Ive seen a comparison video where it was almost identical to GC Quad, and another one where it was far off. Has anyone here done any good side by side comparisons?
- Is the added functionality of the MLM2PRO worth it over the simplistic Stack Radar?

Thanks!

I grabbed this thing after reading review after review praising TheStack and hearing guys like NLU endorse it. I just finished my 10th session (Foundation) and I’m convinced I got conned.

My golf game has gone to s***, I’m somehow swinging slower(?) and I’m frustrated to the point that I’m struggling to feel like this whole thing is anything more than the latest golf improvement gimmick but with an app this time. Maybe I just need more Invigaron berries…

As a launch monitor it’s nearly worthless, it doesn’t monitor launch angle or spin rate. For measuring club head speed and ball speed, it’s spot on.

The Stack will def make you faster. However you can change your motion when training, and if you do that, you will play like crap and prolly be shorter. This has happened to me, and I have figured out how to mitigate it.

It can be frustrating for sure. but it isn't a scam at all.

I agree that the stack will make you faster, but I can see how players can get worse in an effort to achieve a faster number during stack training. Happened to me last year, I didn’t have time to balance the stack and work on golf swing, so my stack practice habits made it way to my swing on course.

It takes time for sure. I’d think of it as a long-term gain akin to a swing change. Have put up some of the highest scores I have in years but also some of the lowest. My last 5 were 71-78-84-72-87..still somehow dropping my handicap a shot.

Speed influences everything in the bag, so will take some patience to integrate. Just finished up foundations last week and am excited about getting into FSS.

Also interesting to note the speed gains at different weights is not linear. That said, driver moving faster is all I really care about!

Also, if you go up a couple of posts my 10th session was my slowest as well (9mph down from starting). i know exactly how you feel. i even wrote an email to the stack folks complaining about it. Rightfull they told me i hadn't hit my ceiling yet and to focus on rest and the warm ups.

I started stretching out the speed sessions to the last day of my window and the speed came back with a vengeance. Can't stress enough how much the warm ups matter.. I hit the foam roller and go through a few basic movements before I even do the suggested program. Start to finish I put in an hour into the protocols now and it's made a difference.

I am going to take your advice on this too. My speeds are starting to wane as I practice and play more. Stretching my next session to Friday in hopes extra day of rest helps and then a week vacation where I may or may not bring the stack.

Have over 1000 shots on wedge mode now. I have definitely seen an improvement in my approach game. I’m a 6 index and just had one of my first positive vs a 0 SG approach rounds ever. Only issue now is my speed training has fallen off. If I have only 20 minutes to practice wedge mode is beating out speed training every time. Need figure out the right balance.

I came to ask the same thing (which I feel like I probably asked earlier in the thread, but it's even further apart now).  My espeed is 110, my actual driver speed is usually 94-96.  Ouch.

I chose The Stack because I feel like I really need to retrain my neural network to learn how to move the clubhead faster. I just completed my first baseline yesterday and will do my first Foundation training on Wednesday.

I'm a 10 handicap with lack of speed being my weakest link. I can sometimes hit 92-93 MPH with driver on Trackman but more often it's 89-90. I think I'm swinging even slower on the course. Occasionally everything syncs up and I hit one 255 or so but my average has been stuck around 235 for a few seasons.

I've never been athletic or good at any other sports and my instincts for swinging faster are the opposite of what they should be. I get tighter instead of looser. I'm sure I shift my weight later than I should. My swing works really well for accuracy and control but not so much for speed.

I'm also taking lessons with a local pro and the main drill he's suggested for this is the step drill. Maybe I could reach the same place by doing a million of those...who knows?

I have a Swing Caddie SC200 and my iPad set up now to do the program in my basement. I have the app set on "Dictate" for the speed readings. Sometimes it hears the SC200 but other times I had to repeat the speed so it would be logged.

The other thing I had to buy was a beat up old Callaway head to put on an extra shaft I have at home. This will save me from having to get my gamer out of the trunk before every session.

I have used it for about 3 years. Sometimes religiously other times less so. I'll echo what others have said. There is a risk of getting out of sequence particularly if you already have some swing flaws (see my thread in Instruction). I have a tendency to swing with the arms from the top and I think using the app and program exacerbated this for me. I'm not blaming the product just what my experience is/was.

I am not currently using it though I may go back and be more conscious of it. I would pick up 3-5 MPH in most of the programs. For example, the last one I did was Full Speed Spectrum and went from 108mph to 112mph. So it works. Like anything else if you stop working it your speed will suffer. I'm currently maxing out ~110 with cruising speed of about 103/104 on the course.

Right now I am just doing 2 sessions per week on a Trackman just swinging a normal club with intent. I get a full warm up and then hit a block of 25-50 ball as hard as I can. Quit after I see 3 consecutive balls more than 3 mph below my average. That seems to be working too

I'm very new to this with only a couple sessions of my first Foundation program under my belt.

A couple of observations:

  • I worked out with a trainer a couple times a week for years prior to 2020. I fell off during the pandemic and have never gotten back in the habit of routine workouts. Doing the Stack warmup is probably very beneficial to me and it motivates me to do a little more in our little home gym area.
  • Every time I've ever tried to do stability/mobility/yoga-style stuff it's become very apparent that my foot stability sucks...the left more than the right. I'm not sure if it'll help my swing but I'm adding some foot strength and stability exercises to my routine. It should at least help me in everyday life as I age.
  • Using my SC200 for speed measurement is suboptimal. The Stack app only occasionally hears the speed output and when it does it seems like it's always one of the SC200's semi-frequent misreads of speed. It's easy enough to repeat what the device said out loud for the app to hear but I have to replace a few swings per session because the SC200 said 35mph or 140mph when I know my swing was closer to 80mph. I also own an SC300 that usually stays with my clubs. I'm going to try using it instead.
  • I have access to Trackman and I'm trying to do a little speed work during my sessions with TM. No real progress so far but I haven't gotten deep enough in The Stack to expect any.

Third Foundation session today and a couple of new "best speed" readings.

I'm starting to see how this program "hacks" its users. Over the course of ten timed swings you start to feel what works and what doesn't. The numbers guide you to focus on the feels that produced those results. You have to be SOMEWHAT mentally engaged but VERY physically engaged to have a great session.

I see results from little tweaks like toeing out my trail foot and trying to get my weight forward as early as possible. Then I try to ingrain those feels and add to them.

I can see how/why this can work. Just gotta put the time in.
