Biggest issue I have is when it measures and gives my backswing speed. This happens when I start the swing dynamically rather than from a normal static setup position.

The original does not measure clubhead speed without hitting a ball. Mevo+ only.

I have compared the PRGR side by side with the Mevo+ when doing The Stack, and the PRGR does ok, but it will spit out some weird numbers now and then. 

 

I have done the same comparison at the range, and the PRGR's ball speed numbers usually agree with the Mevo+. However the two units often disagree on CHS.

No one else has this issue of 3 numbers when using no ball and the stack. It’s super annoying and just a waste of energy and time. Happened all morning I can’t trust whatever the reads are and can’t figure out why sometimes it’s only a speed number and other times it’s all 3 numbers. I want to smash this thing

Is the Stack Radar better than the PRGR at registering speeds without a ball? Without a ball, my PRGR is always much lower than with a ball.

I haven't seen that personally. The only things I can think of are things you probably already know: making sure the unit is set on golf rather than baseball and that it is set to measure driver rather than some other club. Maybe try fresh batteries? That's all I can think of, and like I said, you've probably already covered these.

They reported that it does happen on occasion and that the ball speed number (second from the top) is to be used for the club head speed

I injured my left (lead) arm doing something stupid (not golf-related) so I decided to do the trail arm enhancer program.

 

During progress checks swinging with one arm only, my trail arm was always about 8 mph slower than the lead arm even though it's my dominant arm (about 108 vs 100 mph).

 

After a few sessions I'm up to 106 mph average with the tempo swing and got it up to 116 mph on a hard swing. I'm curious to see how this translates to distance once the lead arm recovers.

Seeing other people's progress charts is helpful. Whenever I start doing the Stack, I see some nice gains early on, then my speeds start dropping and dropping and dropping--like for 5 or 6 sessions. I always find this discouraging and often will let my workout lapse. Seeing others go through similar declines (and then eventual increases) helps motivates me to keep going.

I havent used mine in the last 6 months or so but given that its back in the 20s now, this is usually the time of year I pick it up again. 

 

I'm in for some kind of motivational-posting every now and then. 

 

The one thing I made a note from last winter is that I didn't do a real good job of distinguishing between Full and Max. I feel like I really need to dial back my Full swings because they definitely started to creep into Max/falling over territory.

I have a few basic questions about the Stack. Sorry in advance if these have already been asked.

 

1. Workout Schedule: Do you have to follow the workout schedule? Can I do two sessions per day, or one every other day? The app says my next workout is tomorrow but I'd like to knock it out today. What's the downside?

2. Swing Timing: Do you have to wait the recommended period between swings? The app tells me to wait 3 mins between weights, is that necessary? I feel like waiting that long makes me lose energy.

3. App Voice: Sometimes the app talks to me, other times it is completely silent. I'm wondering how to keep the voice on all the time.

4. Pre-Workout: Anything you all do to get energy up ahead of the workout? I've been doing the 15 minute stretching routine that Sasho leads but it's not really getting my energy up.

 

Any information would be great. Thank you.

Almost completed with full speed spectrum. Was seeing some slow increases until about session 17 then all of a sudden next four sessions noticeably slower at every weight. I didn’t change anything during this period in terms of lifestyle, eating habits, working out schedule, anything. Not only did it stall, but it regressed by a couple of miles an hour. Needless to say it’s pretty demoralizing, but has anybody else seen this regression pattern and how did you break out of it?

Noithing to worry about, it happens. The speed will increase as mysteriously as it dropped.

This happens, usually before a bump in speed.

 

Anything else in life change?  More stress?  Diet?  
 

speed training is really taxing on the cns and I’ve noticed if I’m stressed or working out harder in the gym(particularly if I push the intensity high and add in too many plyos) the speed training can suffer.

This happens, and it is definitely part of the process. I get this all the time, and it is super demoralizing. However it is temporary, and you will see increases over time. The increases are not linear. YOU HAVE TO STICK WITH IT!!

I hear you. It's frustrating but just like the market, even markets that appreciate, that's not the case every day. Appreciate the feedback. It's good to hear others that have seen similar patterns so it's not just me or the way I'm approaching the training.

Thank you for the feedback. Nothing crazy has changed...sure busy season at work, no more golf season in the northeast, but otherwise, not much else. I guess I can see it plateauing since I've experienced that, but to actually see declines in the last few sessions was concerning. I'll just have to keep pushing to hopefully see that bump in speed. I
