My message to Golf Retailers

Looking into getting a couple of used fairway woods and I'm done looking at places like TGW, 2nd Swing and so on down the line. Everyone is trying to rape the consumer. Just remember this. After this virus crap calms down, I'm going to remember each and every one of you retailers that are trying to stick it to us. And yes, I understand supply and demand. And I also understand just plain old GREED! Rant over.

Call away preowned prices are pretty good, and they have a fair amount of “sales”. The condition of the clubs has always exceeded expectations.

Yes, they are one of the few that aren't trying to stick it to the retailer. I guess I could just take it and buy the beat up 7 year old Ping G30 5 wood for the low low price of $308 bin from 2nd swing on ebay.😠

The only way to get back at them is via an elaborate plot, planned over 10-15 years, designed to torment them in unimaginable ways while bringing down the very system they cling to. A movie like "law abiding citizen" comes to mind, where Gerard Butler tunneled into every jail in the city in order to get himself arrested, than escape and cause mayhem designed to get them to question the justice system...

 

So i'd recommend something like this. Do you have access to machines that can be used for tunneling / digging? They are online stores mostly so some sort of cyber attack like in "Live free or die hard" could also work

I say we round them all up for collusion.  Put on a big show in the streets.  Maybe tar and feather.  That will show them.

Our golf domes have been closed since December, I have been formulating many plots myself!

 

The price and availability of building materials has delayed my plans considerably, but the good news is with streaming I have access to every "Saw" movie

The dome is like 10 stalls and each are a good few meters apart. There wasn't any real logic to it other than it was considered an "indoor sport"

You can’t be a free market capitalist and then b**** about the prices that market produces.  Golf is seeing a bump, which means used clubs are seeing a bump, which means prices will reflect that bump.  
 

The good news is there haven’t been any jumps in technology in 10 years so you shouldn’t need new clubs anyway, lol.

Actually a "bump" wouldn't bother me in the least. 100% - 200% bumps is crazy. I hope they end up sitting on the crap and losing their butt.

I work for 2nd Swing and see prices for stuff all day long as I clean trade ins and those ebay prices seem very odd.  On the actual 2nd Swing site those G30 fairways are only $180 in the same condition.  I can definitely look up the SKU of the expensive one on Monday and see if there's something weird going on and escalate that to my manager.

While I appreciate the communistic viewpoint, I don't think we should regulate the prices that these businesses are asking. Just go somewhere else.
