Which arm is better to be sore?

For a right-handed golfer playing the day after receiving the vaccine, which arm would you choose to get the shot in?

 

let’s just assume we care only about golf, not any other life activities. Seems a safe assumption on this forum, right?!

As someone whose left upper arm is sore today, I would say the right would be preferable.

I'm not sure there's a right or a wrong answer to your question... 

 

I went with the right (I'm right handed) just because that was the side that was facing the nurse. Your soreness will vary. Mine was sore for just a few hours and then it went away, but my spouse's was sore for a few days.

I played the day after getting a shot in my left arm (I'm right handed) and had 0 issues.

I’m right handed, and for golfing purposes I’d get it in my right.

Neither! When I got my first shot, no pain. I had some pain and stiffness after the second, and just took a couple of days off.

Back at 23 I played 18 holes of golf and 3 sets of tennis on asphalt the morning after having all my wisdom teeth removed. Pain killer, spit some blood, beat lying in a recliner at my parents house and watching Donahue. 
Suck it up!

I played few holes of golf the same day and the next day after my shot(3 days ago). It was on my left arm and it was pretty sore. Today the soreness is gone.

 

It was a drive through clinic so I guess it was my left arm that was closer to the window. Might prefer it on my right arm.

First shot or second?  Really minimal arm soreness for me following first shot but second was a different story.  Every muscle in my body hurt to move and heavy fatigue.  Couldn’t have played at all.

Since it will hurt in either arm choose the one with the biggest bicep. You never know who you might impress. Of course if you’re like me it won’t matter.

I’d say non dominant arm. I had the Pfizer about 4 weeks ago, was only sore for about 2 days. And that was more of a gentle pinching feeling, like my upper arm was being snagged on my shirt.

 

I would have been fine to play the next day (if we weren’t still in lockdown until March 29th) so I probably won’t worry about the 2nd jab, whenever that’s going to be. 
I could have done without the nurse saying “oh, we’ve got a bleeder” in a passive aggressive manner though!

Got my first shot yesterday, left arm. Was fine day of, waking up to it sore today. Could still play if I wanted, just a constant nuisance. I’d think as a righty with the left shoulder pulling and stretching across the body on the backswing that the right shoulder would be more preferable for a golfer, or at least for my swing.

Whichever arm you get it in, make sure you include it in your final score. It's an extra shot, after all.

The soreness in my left arm did throw my swing off for couple days, I do have high pain tolerance. But it seems the tightness of the upper left arm knocked my swing out of kilter. But my swing felt back to normal in my yesterday's round, 4 days after my first shot. At least I'll know what to expect after getting my 2nd one.

 

To answer OP's question, shot on right side might be easier on golf for a righthanded golfer.

with all due respect, it was just a fun golf forum topic. I wasn’t “worried” any more than people who start topics about which putter grip to use, or opinions about favorite golf jokes, or takes about Jordan Spieth’s latest tournament. Lighten up

I typically try to follow the ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything’ philosophy here. I’m definitely not always successful. Sorry if I offended you.
