Played my first round of the season today

In all seriousness though, after the first 2 holes I played pretty decent for my skill level. First hole was a triple bogey 8 and second was quad bogey 8, 3rd was an improvement with merely a double.

 

Overall I broke 50 the bad way for 9 holes, but it felt good to be on a course again. If I added in the mullies it would be probably around 56.

We’re right around the corner from golf here in the North East. A lot of courses opening but the CC I’m a member of is waiting until everything is dried up. I’m so ready

AS am I.  No ranges open in my area at this point so it might be more than a little rough.  Been swinging in the yard for a couple of weeks now.  Feels as though the swing is beginning to come around although without actually striking a ball it's all guess work on my part.

My home course is on the conservative side of opening as well, it makes sense because there are a couple of areas where drainage isn't great. The ground gets pretty soggy, and with my tendency to chunk a few soggy does not work well for me lol.

I played my first game yesterday. I have been practicing all off season long indoors, except putting. I ended my season last year at 8 handicap and I played a short course today but full of trouble and never ending undulating greens. I shot 20 over. lol The wind by the way was at 30 mph all day long. 

 

I lost 9 strokes due to either three putts or lost balls. I did not expect a lot since it was the first round in 6 months and the wind was just brutal, but It's gonna be fun next time out to grind out adjustments.

Fortunate that our course opened yesterday as well.

Great day to not count numbers.

Swapped some gear to bring fairway woods that I'd had issues with, a lower lofted hybrid and a different wedge to try around the greens.

Had good results and a great time.

9 rounds down here this year. Ordinarily, it would have been more - winter golf is not my bag but I enjoy getting out for some fresh air and the chance to get plenty of steps in. Clocks go forward for us in Scotland overnight Saturday into Sunday which means Golf after work is back on!

Played my first (and first at the cc I joined) on Saturday. Played in my first tournament yesterday (4 person team shamble format). We won! I was the D player in our ABCD team.  My first goal was to not embarrass myself too badly. My second goal was to be able to contribute some decent shots for the team.  I’m not sure about the embarrass part, but I did contribute.
 

Once I play 10 more holes this week I will have played more than I did all of last year.

Cannot wait. Been watching all the tournaments lately and they’re giving me the itch. This usually doesn’t happen until Masters weekend... my nearby public opened today, so hoping I can get there soon. Only goal will be no massive chunks/skulls. Everything else is fair game.

Played first round yesterday +10. Not bad as I hardly practice at all this past winter here in Minnesota. Short game is still my biggest problem.

Played my first round last week.. Had a 10 shot swing for the better between front 9 and back 9.  It can take a bit to shake off the rust, but it doesn't help when you end up with a 7 after lying 3 in a greenside bunker.

Very jealous - still about a month away from when the courses around here me playable. Hoping the range opens up in about a week or so - snow has just melted here, and praying we don't get a late spring snow dump! Southern Norway should be opening up anytime now....
