Does anyone have feedback from using both Mevo and Rapsodo

I’ve searched here, YouTube, googled, really people just review one or the other and nobody has anything bad to say on video because I’m sure they were given the product to review in most cases.

 

I’ve seen negative reviews in comments on both products, but haven’t found a good answer as to which may be the better option now that they’ve both been out a while. Most reviews are from mid 2020 and I haven’t seen anything from someone that’s returned one and bought the other.

 

Anyone have feedback from both or a good comparison on what would steer you one way or the other?

Unfortunately he didn’t buy the Rapsodo, it seems like every comparison I find doesn’t include both

Yeah, I've been looking for some comparisons as well.  I finally decided to go with the Rapsodo which should arrive today.  For me, it became an easy decision once I realized that the Mevo doesn't provide lateral distance readings.  For me, that's a critical feature as I want to work on shaping the ball at times and also want to be able to see if I have more of a tendency to pull/push a certain shot.  The Mevo doesn't give you that feedback.

As far as I'm aware, for lateral distance, the MLM measures launch direction and not spin axis.  It should capture pushes and pulls well but fades/slices and draws/hooks would be more challenging.  If the ball starts moving early on, it may get picked up by the self-facing camera but I dont expect the camera is powerful enough to pick up the ball after it has gotten to the apex.  

 

It would be good to eventually hear your updates on how this works out in the field.  I think the shots of concern would be those that say start "straight" at the target and either fade or draw off the target line and how MLM renders those.

Interesting point about how the MLM measures launch direction.  I'll be very interested to see how it does on the range.  Hopefully, it will read slices and draws accurately.  My rapsodo arrived yesterday but since I don't own any Apple products, I can't use it yet.  Fortunately, my Dad has an old iPhone 6 that he's sending me so next week, I should be able to try it.  I'll let you know what I find.

So appreciate the replies and messages I got, I went with Mevo in the end. They both seem great, Rapsodo has a lot of cool features that seem cool but I think the smaller size and displaying spin is what swayed me to the Flightscope
