Taylormade Burner TP - Japan version

Guys, can anyone tell me about them?

I've seen the Burner 2.0, but it is super GI. 

Pictures would help, especially at address position.

Anyone played these?

Yes. I've owned a set.

I have owned the burner 09's, Burner JDM's and burner TP iron sets.

 

In terms of head size the smallest to largest goes TP, JDM then 09

Both of the first two are forged, the last cast.

feel is surprisingly better with the 09's

By far the best overall is the 09 irons.

I currently own a set.  They have a relatively thin sole and top line, offset is minimal.  Lofts are more traditional.  They have a smoke finish to the chrome.  They feel softer than a traditional cast iron, but not butter soft forged feel.  I need to sell mine to thin the herd of clubs I own.

I've gamed the Burner forged and now have the R9 forged. I think I preferred the look and feel of the Burners, but the R9's are still very good. Never had the Burner TP's though.

Just picked up a set of Burner TPs from

Japan with tour AD 75 Stiff shafts.

I was shocked how good these irons are.

Super soft feel and consistent yardages with the light weight graphite shafts.

They have benched my ZX-7/Tous issue S400 120s for the rest of the year.

Thin top line and the sole is rounded to

prevent digging.

 I am blown away with these.

Roxald - I just got the same set, and soft-stepped the 75g stiff shafts once and they are so fantastic. I have the same experiences you do with them. My last two scores on my home course were 3-4 strokes lower because the lofts are weaker and the flight a bit higher with enough spin to hold our small greens. They kicked my Ping i210's out (and I had them ground to remove bounce to get through the turf better). The soles on the Burner TP's are great!

They are some of the softest feeling irons I have ever played.   I need to thin the herd.  Mine will be going up on BST soon.
