Ping G425 LST tensei vs G410 tensei- my thoughts

I broke the shaft in my G410 LST the other day (could be something to do with my youngest teenage son but I digress). Had a scramble tournament to play this weekend, so I bought a G425 LST tensei combo (stiff flex and both 9* heads). After demoing the 425LST before buying and using it this weekend, I noticed that the 425 tensei feels heavier in my hand, it takes more effort to swing overall than the G410. I realize the shafts are different somewhat, but only 1 gram according to the ping specs. The swingweights both say D4, but they feel different idk. The sound is a teeny bit more muted than the 410, but not much change there. The G425 is more forgiving to me, there were at least 2 drives I hit off the toe that would've pushed right that kept in the fairway with the G410. I was able to get 160 ball speed on the G410, the best I got with the G425 was 155 (during demo). Not a big deal and could be the player that day. I've got a mevo and over the next few weeks I'll be pinning down the differences and decide if it's worth keeping the g425.

yes, exactly.

Sure they’re very similar but in a game of MM’s so even a few Gs could make a difference.

Are both shafts the same length ? Same grips? Not bashing any one company but with the work force dwindling and demand increasing QC might not be the best.  
 

The online swing weight calculations are very close and you can put each combo together to see how much it differs if any.

But you could have 3 identical setups and they'd all feel different.

0% chance you’re feeling that 1G of Raw weight.  The 

 

It’s likely a heavier swing weight for whatever reason.  If you have a simple

food scale, a tape measure you can slap Both together and see if they’re similar weight and see if they’re swing weights are similar 
 

Are both of these shafts at 45 3/4 from Ping ?

Both are stock and should play 45.25" per the website. I will try to find someone with a SW scale local.

You don’t need a SW scale 

 

weigh it in a food scale and find the balance point and measure from the end of the shaft to the balance point (Aka what a swing weight scale is).  If they’re both at the D3 and the length you’re quoting they should balance at the same exact spot and if they don’t.
