My bad swing on video - weight shift not working correctly Updated new Video

I finally got a really, really, bad swing on video.  A video lesson with Monte last year showed I had to work on getting more right wrist extension and elbow bend, and the NTC videos have helped my overall game, but the swing in this link always creeps in again, usually at the start of a round for the first 3-4 holes and it is unplayable.  My feeling to correct this issue right now is to basically bow my left wrist until I feel like it will smack into the ground, that usually closes the clubface enough to limit the chicken wing requirement to actually make contact.

 

Does my grip/start of backswing look terrible? My right leg isnt extending anywhere near as much as I expected, either.

Five cent from an amateur:

 

The grip looks OK strong enough. You have an OTT tendency during transition. It looks to me like you're suffering from a steering impulse. 

 

Just try to axe the heel of the club into the back of ball from the top... as if you were going to cut it in two pieces. You could even feel like you keep the back towards the target for a very long time but it won't happen, The upper body will turn since you are axing on an inclined plane. And the club face will square up and the club head will catch up.

 

You need to be a more reckless during the down swing.

Monte - thank you for the advice.  This swing video is me trying to get more of a weight shift, and swinging my arms and keeping back towards target longer.  The still frame at halfway down doesnt look to be where I want it yet (hands still trailing) but my impact position has changed quite a bit:

I am definitely lacking in the pressure shift department - trying to watch a few AMG videos on it, but I'm having trouble transferring it to a swing and not letting the arms trail.  Looks like I know what to practice in the backyard this weekend!

Looking very good to here, IMO..

 

 

 

... but from here and onwards you straighten your trail arm and the pivot stalls. If you could just be working your hands down to the hip without straightening the right elbow... the way to do that is to turn with the upper and lower body.

AMG Golf just posted a short clip that has the perfect drill for you. Just head to the local home improvement store to get a board and something to stick under it to make your own balance board. Just make sure you get that step/pressure shift before you swing. Notice how the front of the board hits the ground well before he starts his arms.

Looks smoother but turn is way flat. Needs more lead shoulder tilt in backswing. I turn a little flat so I have to feel as if my lead shoulder points in front of the ball (closer to feet) as I start turning my shoulders. Basically if you were standing straight up with your arms at your side, you’d feel as if you’re reaching down to the side of your left left knee with your left hand
