I have a new TZ RPG 362H coming to test. I looked at the Tour Gold but honestly it just seems like a beast. It's stiffer than anything they've ever made.

Ask @bladehunter.  He said he got it recently and loves it.  Supposed to be low/low I think.

It’s low low and counter balanced. Ultimately I couldn’t get along with the balance point. I had to add so much head weight to feel the head that The overall weight was 3 mph slower.  So a net loss.  It’s a great shaft if you’re a counterbalance guy.  I just am not.   And yes. Easily the stiffest accra product I’ve ever swung.  The m5 is true TX where to me the TB in tx isn’t harsh at all.  
 

back to the TB 70TX and just got a perfect head to be able to tune it’s flight.  A triple diamond mavrik 10.5 head.  Love it !

Yeah, the TB isn't harsh.  It's very smooth and pretty easy to load even in the TX flex.  Still have mine in my 3 metal although I also have a ZF that came recently.  Experimenting for now.  So BH, how many driver shafts do you have now?  😂

Just the one.  Lol.  Several local guys who will swap about.  The RPG went on it’s way and then later sold here by another guy I think.  
 

my tournament season starts this week. I’m set snd done.  TB was it all along. Just needed a head that allowed for turning loft down and moving weight so I could tune spin a touch and flight.  The tsi2 just didn’t  really have that completely.

I’m testing it right now and its by far the best feeling shaft I’ve ever played. You can feel the kick even if on paper its supposed to be very stiff. Do not feel harsh at all. Prefer the feel of it over the ventus black.

Swing speed on gcquad 122/127.

Just got fitted for the RPG 362 M4.  It's awesome! Great feel. Easy to swing and tight dispersion.

I got to try the new RPG 462 - It has a really smooth feel to it even thou the shaft is very stout - while I didnt get the most out of it (my SS is 102-108, probably too stiff for me) it almost had "selfcorrecting" properties for me LOL. Literally some of the worst swings i've put on the ball still ended up in the fairway.

 

That paint scheme is sick as well.

I have been gaming the TZ RPG 362H M5. Tipped it an inch and put it into a G400. The high-balance is great because I can play it at 45 inches with plenty of headweight and still get D3-D4. The profile is very similar to the previous RPG but to me feels even smoother. It's a mid-soft design but not too soft in the middle. Shaft is pretty stout overall and I don't even think I need to try the Gold version.

I’ll second this but instead a 362 HBP

i played the new TZ5 for about 4 weeks, just couldn’t max it out. It was just missing something. I played the Gold and enjoyed it, but this 362 HBP is tipped an inch sounds like it’ll do jus the trick. currently playing a Diamana DF 60x tipped bout .75”

I'm curious as to people's opinions on this shaft that are fast tempo swingers.  I'm looking at 6/7 and M5 or 5+

 

Also - I see people talking about the shaft being counterbalanced, but are BOTH balance point options still considered counterbalanced?  I was thinking one of them is, and one of them isn't.  Which is which?  If both counterbalanced, which is a lower balance point (more traditional)?

 

 

Typically, I like shafts with a torque around 2.8-3.1.  Coming out of a Hulk 60g 6.5TX which feels too harsh/no feel..  I'm looking for something with a little more feel/input, but not lose the tight dispersion on high toe strikes.  362H or Tour 462 seems to be what I'll be looking at.

no RPG gold experience.  But I did play smoke green 60 tx the last two season with great results.  Switched this winter to ad iz 7tx tipped an inch and it’s given me mid launch, managed spin, and easier to swing.  An 90% swing is getting me more carry, with less roll out then the hulk setup ( and it’s 40 degrees here)

I am. RPG Tour (Gold) 462 M5+. New shaft to me. Still figuring it out. Legit firm. Handle especially. Have to work to load it. When I do, it goes. Feels great. Hard to overpower or misdirect. True TX (M5+). 120 EI in the handle is no joke. Fade or straight for now.

I know a guy who has played the Accra RPG Tour Gold 472 M5+ and I heard him comment during the summer that it was pretty similar to the Project X Hzrdus Smoke Green RDX 75 TX but I will find out definitively and post an update.

I hit a Ventus Black the other day. 6X. Definitely stiffer than that, but similar firm handle, linear bend. Honestly, it reminds me more of an iron shaft. Particularly PX LS 6.5. Or Nippon SPB X. In graphite, maybe an Alpha RIP 70x or Protopype 80x. I play both. Much stiffer than any other Accra I've ever hit. I have FX 470 M5+ in a 3W, and it's quite a bit firmer than that. Apparently they reduced torque from the original RPG Tour, but at 3.3* it's not crazy low. Just a big stouty. Especially at this weight class. Another comp might be the Tensei 1K Black TX, or a HZRDUS Black/Green TX. It does NOT feel like a whiteboard profile (softer handle), like my Rogue Silver 125, or a Tensei PO, or GD XC. This is blueboard on steroids.

Just bumping this thread to see if anyone else plays this shaft or has more details on the profile of it.  I had a fitting yesterday and this turned out to be the best fit for driver for me.  Club Champion has it as "Accra TZ RPG Tour Spec 62g M4+" on their build sheet, so I assume it is the "RPG Tour 462" model from Accra's website.  While I can see the raw numbers of the EI values from butt, mid, and tip, that doesn't give me the picture of the curve I like to see to really understand it.  Sounds like most people agree its relatively linear with no huge dips on the EI curve.

 

I don't think I see this shaft in Russ' golfshaftreviews database, so that's why I'm asking here.

 

For clarity, it was the RPG Gold that I was hitting yesterday. 

 

Anybody else playing this shaft currently?  It was one of the few that had me finding the same spot in the driver face almost every single time.

As above, I have been gaming the RPG Gold 462 M5+ (TX) lately. It is FIRM throughout. I would call it mostly linear, but with a slight dip in the middle. Very firm tip and handle. It *can* be loaded with a good move, but you're working to do it. Pretty impressive for such a light shaft, IMO. I would imagine the M4+ to be a bit more manageable.

Yeah it felt really nice to me.  Didn’t feel nearly as stout as most empirical data shows.  I put a lot of load on the handle during my transition, but what was really nice is that while stiff, the tip seemed to aid me in my low launch tendencies.
