I feel like stiff light shafts are the direction we are heading in. Using an Alta cb 55x in my g410 and it’s a killer combo. Still able to swing fast while getting the stability of a stiffer shaft.

I think if you asked MCA they aren’t overly concerned about Ventus. They are looking to make their own shafts better with each passing generation and getting their shafts in the bags of players that actually pay for them is likely more of a priority. Besides, I’m not convinced Velocore is the end all be all technology people think it is. I mean, you still have to swing the club at the ball and there is only so much help a shaft can give you on a poorly struck ball. From my testing my strike pattern, distance or dispersion was not significantly better with any of the 3 Ventus shafts than what I game now. All my testing confirmed was that I was well fit into my current shafts.

I agree with @noodle3872’s assertion that the end goal of the company is to convince consumers to purchase their product, but I think tour seeding is a big part of that. Mitsubishi needs to find some way to regain tour validation that has been largely focused on Ventus, because at the end of the day people will be far more likely to drop the big bucks for a shaft if they see professionals who have every shaft available to them choosing to use a Mitsubishi product in high pressure scenarios.

What are you talking about? This is like a normal release cycle for them. I think the only difference is last time a RF came out before DF.

No, each of the 3 Ventus shafts (tested 5S Blue and Red and 6S in all three colors) could not create the tight strike point that Pro White 50S/60S did in my driver resulting in worse distance, worse dispersion and far less consistent ball flight. Pro White is a superior driver shaft for me. It was 8 yards longer on average than the closest Ventus shaft which was the Black 6S. PW was straighter and had tighter standard deviation.

completely agree with you - couldn't get the ventus black to cooperate; my PW av 2.0 is honestly one of the best things i've hit.

Different strokes (literally) for different folks. I found the 2.0 lacking in feel, increased spin and lower ball speed (Measured on GC Quad) compared with Ventus Black.

Dont want to get into the weeds with comparing to ventus but MCA’s tech stories always leave me snickering. Very bland stuff- “advanced materials and techniques”, “optimized butt weight and diameter”.

Very little detail on actually whats going on. Might as well be steadfast 😂

That being said im sure its a great shaft, but man that giant diamana graphic is fugly.

Keep in mind what I posted is a google translation. They very rarely make any sense in my experience for Japanese text. I guess you're gonna have to wait for US' press release or website update.

Just great.  I just got me a Tensei 1k and ZF.  Looks to be same the same exotic materials though.  If it's an updated version of the DF, then I'm good.  I love the paint scheme though.

When I went in for my driver fitting last year, I went with the Ventus Black.  It gave me the best overall numbers.  The CK pro white was a very close second.  It's a really good shaft that a lot of guys on tour still game.  The updated version with different materials is the Tensei 1k which is what I game that I got recently.  I love this thing as it's giving me 3-4mph more ball speed than the Ventus Black, but it's a bit looser off the tee as well.  I can't pass up 10 to 15 more yards though.

Had the TB 80x in my 3 metal and tried desperately to make it work.  It launched way too high for me and spun too much.  It's a more traditional blue board ,mid/mid profile like the BF and I fit into a mid/low profile which is why I ended up replacing it with the ZF.  The TB is a phenomenal shaft though.

Have you tried the Tensei 1k yet?  It's a more stable version of the ahina IMO.  Better feel as well.
