I really like the Callaway Triple Track and was wondering why they don’t put them

on all their balls. I’m sure the answer is that they just want to sell more premium balls. I would argue they would sell more balls period if they put the triple track on them

all.
How many people feel triple track is a game changer?
How many people feel it’s a gimmick?

Personally I like the triple track, it does have its advantages while putting and identification purposes. On the green is where it shines but also very useful off the Tee. Putting is better with the tt, i guess you hit the nail on the head about the premium ball but imo Callaway are onto a winner but with the stencils you can get now any ball can be converted into one. I got one for my tiger Bridgestone ball and i can honestly say it works. Good Golf

The stencils can closely approximate the science (Vernier Acuity) but if you look into it, the thickness of the lines, the colors and the spacing are critical to making it work.

I’ve used the stencils too- better than one line, but not the same IMO. It’s tough to copy the thickness and the color- not to mention the smudging.

Its not a game changer by any means......its an alignment aid that some people like and many do not.....if you use the putters with the same alignment aid, maybe it helps???not sure.

There is no data to suggest any of this works and improves putting.....its a marketing tool and if it works for you, then that is great.

its like TM PIX....visual aids which maay or may not work for people

it's not a game changer i don't think since...heck most of us have been putting lines or visual aids on the ball for a long time now.

also, i've used the chrome soft x LS triple track this year and actually felt it was easier to line up the 1 line on my intended line - and didn't look as busy. to each their own.

i still use the CSXLS -- just without the triple track.

The "gimmick" is trying to turn putting into a mechanical series of pre-programmed actions where you point marks on the ball at the target then align marks on the putter with the marks on the ball then try to robotically create some kind of perfectly precise swing.

As tsecor points out, this particular type and color of marks on the ball and putter is just marketing pitched at those who believe in the whole putting-by-alignment-lines gimmick.

I recently started a thread about sight lines on putters in the Putter forum.  Many answers came back favoring no sight line and lining the ball up so nothing shows. Researched online and found a few articles saying the stroke is more natural and free with minimum distractions to look at.  I tried it and I seem to be putting better. So my vote is no triple track. Plus it seems a bit busy if you're not on the green but have to view the lines at an awkward angle.

I love Triple Track.  Makes my ball somewhat easier to find in the rough.  Makes a great alignment aid as well.  Another bonus is that very few golfers game Cally Triple Track balls and even fewer game the Optic Yellow ones with Triple Track like me.  😁

i've always used a line on the ball and the triple track is very convenient, and i like how it doesn't get smeared like a sharpie line does, but i've realized i don't like 3 lines on the ball. I prefer one long thin line. the middle red line on triple track is too thick for me, the thickness of the blue line is what i like. i know i'm probably in the minority on this.

Really enjoyed the triple track and putted very well with it when I first started using them. I found the longer I put them in play the worse my putting became. Not sure if it was a psychological thing or what, but I couldn't hit my lines anymore.

I like Triple Track. However, I believe put the two-colored, extra long Triple Track on a ball takes more processes (and therefore time and cost) than a normal one-colored short alignment aid. Maybe it is too expensive to have it on cheaper balls.

IMO, it's a better alignment aid than the usual 1 line on the ball.  It's easier to line up 3 lines than 1, at least for me.

I tried out a bunch of ERC Soft's with Triple Track this year.  I like the ball itself and the Triple Track lines were a nice added bonus but I found them to be a bit narrow for my taste.  Better width than the "enhanced alignment" Pro V's with their more narrow lines, but still not perfect.

For me, what works best is a Pro V1 with my own 3 lines using a $10 stencil I bought off Amazon.  The lines are a bit wider spaced and that makes it even easier for me to align to my desired putting path.

And of course, sometimes I use the lines and sometimes I don't.  Just depends on how well I am generally aligning and putting on that specific day.  Some days the lines really help, other days I turn them face down because the lines are screwing me up.

It's entirely possible you started kind of steering the putter because you became too focused on getting everything aligned straight. Kind of like a more extreme version of the old adage about "Fell in love with the line, forgot to hit it" that makes us leave putts short.
