Why do people do this?

I played with a guy in a tournament that marked his ball on the 1st green with his false eye.  We all had a good laugh as he says he just does it to mess with people.  Also, nothing better than someone at the end of their round, removing their cap, running their hand through their greasy sweat drenched hair, and extending that same hand towards you for a handshake...

Did he put it in his mouth before replacing it in his eye socket? Lol

After they peed 3x in the bushes on the back 9..and maybe even dropped a deuce at the turn and didn't wash their hands

My short football was in the late 60’s - way before humans needed to drink water during strenuous physical activity. But not wanting to seem uncaring the staff handed out salt tablets like Halloween candy.

I learned that when we were told to take a knee for a lecture I looked for a sprinkler head so I could suck water from the slimy head. This was way before Uncle Rico who I’m sure had access to water whenever he wanted like my boys and grand sons have. Some change is good.

Lol, mine was in the 80s but…our coaches played their football in the 60s and still had the same mentality.

I mean, the way they treated us, the stuff they would say. Like I can’t repeat how they referred to to sport of soccer here 🤣

For us it was normal and they knew the game. But These days they would be locked up and all over the media!!

You guys would have been considered wusses. Riding 100 miles on a bike was done with one water bottle over those 4-5 hours.

Ya but you no wear full pads and a 5 pound helmet and run a bunch of gassers (back and forth width of the field 2x) after cracking heads. Plus a “middle” session of 20 minutes of HIT.

In August heat!!!!

Lol, just kidding. It’s just crazy the concept of dehydration was ignored by the sports world until recently!

Yep! It is amazing the length of time it takes to figure things out.

For a while now in cycling, the mantra has been to not wait until you are thirsty, by then it is too late.

Ya, I’m a light weight cyclist. I’ll do 20 miles and hit some intervals in there but never touched anything much more. That’s barely time to get dehydrated but I alway do about 24oz of water on a ride. I got dehydrated once and it wasn’t til the next day I realized it. Was super sluggish and out of it and just drank glass after glass of water. Scary stuff

Hey, this is the  last lap of some race, it takes place in the park I ride in. I won’t give it away but awesome finish!

I watched a guy take of his shirt and dunk in the water cooler the one's with the triangle paper cups then say air conditioning. Use bottle water, boys.... I watched my trash collecter pull his gloves off with his teeth when I went out to give them a Christmas tip

Conical cups?  I know what you're talking about.

One man's trash is another man's treasure, right?

Have seen the maintenance staff unlock the cabinet, dip their hats in the cooler, then lock it back up.

I don’t see the big deal with licking it for a grass stain or a small cleanup. I’m not licking a mud ball.

Putting the whole thing in your mouth is a weird move but I’ve seen many players do it

If I could lick my ball, I wouldn't have time to golf.

Reminds me of ol' Uncle Billy. I saw him at the supermarket once buying canned dog food. I asked him what kind of dog he had and he replied, "I don't have a dog. My Social Security check only goes so far and I have to supplement my food purchases with this in order to make it stretch to the end of the month".

I heard a month later that he had passed away. Wasn't the dog food that killed him, though. He got ran over by a truck while lying in the middle of the road, licking his balls.
