jakobv84
I play with Miura PP-9003 irons and 3 black Miura wedges, but I don’t know the model of them. Nor standard specs beyond the 50/54/58. Anyone recognize the series? (and yes I’m not a good golfer so no impressive sweet spot 😁)

FLOGMR
As eaglestan66 says those are the Miura Black series....originally called Tour Black. I worked for Miura as a club-maker club-fitter for 10 years and have had those in my bag all that time and still do. I have a couple of sets of them.... 50-54-60 and 54-60. They lose their black finish over time and use but they are as good (or better) as any wedges as you will ever find. If you want to re-black them you can get a black oxide kit from Caswell Plating and that will turn them right back to original finish many times....I used that kit to re-finish any of the Miura black oxide irons we had at the time. My gamers are on Rifle Spinner shafts and the back up set are on Aerotech Steel-fiber....both great sets. Enjoy them. 1 Quote Yonex Tri-G 10* driver Yonex Ezone GT 15* 3 wood Yonex Ezone GT 18* 5 wood Yonex Ezone GT irons 4-AW Miura Tour Black 54* SW Miura Tour Black 60* LW Miura KM007 Putter

And will look into refinishing them. I don’t mind the worn look but could be nice to give them a refresher over the winter maybe.
bvanlieu
Why would you be insane? Its a wedge 🙂 They are classic clubs, good grind. Easy to work. If you find yourself hitting a lot of gap wedges full, I could see a wider sole/CB being a bit more forgiving say the PP wedge. I happen to also have a PP 52 wedge I got as a practice club, and I much prefer my 1957 series wedges for turf interaction. So much so I got a second set of them over time (lightly used/NOS) and as good as these wear there is no reason to wedge shop for quite some time.
eaglestan66
You're not crazy for playing these Miura wedges. You are just the opposite. One of the best forgings you'll ever play!
