KBS Tour 105

Has anybody tried the KBS Tour 105?, I  was wondering how it compared to  the Modus 105 or shafts similar in weight. I am an x flex which I believe is about 117 grams in KBS, modus X 105 I believe is about 114grams

Great shafts, IMO.  Similar to Modus 105.

do you know how the Tapers compare to the parallel version?

I've been trying these in my long irons for abit of help getting the ball up. I found the KBS to feel abit more stable but launch and spin abit higher. It also felt very slightly lighter to me (I think like most KBS shafts, it is very slightly counterbalanced). Both felt really smooth but surprisingly (to me anyway) the KBS felt better and actually slightly 'tighter' to me despite the higher launch suggesting it has a slightly softer tip which seems counter intuitive at first, but that's what I felt. 

 

Just to possibly complicate things abit more for you though, the Nippon didn't quite launch as high as I wanted and the KBS Tour 105 spun just abit too much so I was struggling getting the distance I wanted when playing into the wind......queue the KBS C-Taper Lite. Similar weight in X (115g) and launch to the KBS Tour 105 but spins less so goes a shade further and better in the wind for me anyway. Only downside is that it doesn't feel as good, especially on off-center hits. Saying that, the KBS Tour 105 is one of the best feeling shafts I've ever hit so probably hard to match it and reduce the spin.

 

So from personal experience; 

 

Nippon 105 launches and spins least.

C-Taper Lite launches higher, spins similar but feels worst.

KBS Tour 105 launches higher, spins more and feels best.
