Vintage Clubs……Vintage grips (?)

I use Mint grips and buy them straight from the manufacturer by the case. They are inexpensive, convenient when they come in a box of 48, and feel great. I don't think I'd care much if they were ugly, but they faux wrap look fits older clubs too.

I'll second this.  Decent grip and a fantastic price.  Also has the wrapped look that looks good on most older clubs.

I have done the tennis racket tape thing. It looks and feels good but for me and this is just me it is not firm enough. I do like the gauze tape thing.

Golf's best kept secret the grip that lasts like no other is Chamois I collect restore & play vintage persimmon & blades I've bought clubs from the 80s with these grips on & they are still perfectly playable 

Pro shops don't sell them because they won't see them again in yrs I've found a UK supplier WWW.adoregolfgrips.com hope this helps all

I will back you up on that even though they are not my favorite grip. Back when I worked for a metal recycling company I found lots of clubs on the scrap pile. Most of the time the grips were shot except for the Chamois. Usually they clean up and tack back up fine. I know guys around here that play darn near everyday weather permitting and some still have the Chamois grips I put on 10 years or so ago--- Their reasoning back then was price point but we found out over time that they were durable too so I guess that doubles the price for value point too

I agree with Stu on this.  They are not my favorite grip but they do work well and seem to last forever.  I too have found them on lots of old clubs and they're always in good playable condition.  They even kind of look like leather, from a distance anyway.
