Pinnacle Rush - Good Alternative to X Version Premiums

This ball is great if you flight your shots high. It’s got a hard enough cover to give great audible feedback on good strikes, yet a medium core to allow for good feel as well. They are very durable and spin plenty for me, equal or better than the B RX that I loved for so long before. The only discernible difference is a 5-10% higher trajectory on avg.

Yep it’s a great ball for what it is. Also it’s made by Acushnet.

I played Pinnacle Distance for a very long time

 

the new Rush version covers scuff and scratch way too easy

 

I'm now testing other balls and hope Pinnacle fixes them

I don’t know, I keep my club faces clean and remove the dirt accumulation on the ball, and durability seems as good as most. The only ball of similar performance that is slightly better durability for me is the Noodle Easy Distance. I seem more consistent yardages and wedge game from the Rush, so I’ve switched to them.

You’re probably right, but they aren’t terrible. And spin is fairly good in the 10-20y chip range, which helps a lot. Which ball is your best right now?

Great ball for the price. Great distance and not bad around the greens. Best ball Pinnacle has ever put out. Doesn’t Titleist make these balls now?

I'm testing Bridgestone e6, Taylormade Distance, thinking about Ultra 500 and Bridgestone e12 Contact

Yeah, Acushnet ball plant #2, according to some member on here. The fact that the MGS ball tests for the Pinnacle Range ball is so good, that says a lot about quality control. Not only that, but the ball speed and spin tests for that range ball is sneaky suspicious. I’m half tempted to play a round with a new one at 8$/doz! It was one of the spinniest and highest ball-speed balls in their swing tests too.

I'm not sure that you can actually get brand new Pinnacle range balls for that price unless you're buying in bulk and I don't know what it takes to get into those channels.  Also note that in the ball test it had the lowest spin of all of the balls with the wedge.  I'd imagine that the Rush would have much better feel and performance for chipping and putting.  Just speculating as I haven't tried the Rush at all and I don't use range balls for chipping and putting practice.

I don’t really want to use a range ball, but it speaks volumes if they are that consistent. Lol, its not like they complete a meticulous run of Titleist Tour Speeds, then restart the machines and run the Pinnacles while they all take an hour long break! Haha! “All right boys, put the crap chemicals in and set the machines to “junk mode”, a Pinnacle Rush batch is next, and it’s almost time for lunch….”
