Sounds like viewer arrogance to me ....... Keep  an eye on Chris   Gotterup.....next tiger woods. Just a couple  of years ago we were watching Collin M. and Vik H. in college.

I’d have thought you’d have said the next Brandon Todd given your penchant for him. I could be mistaken it could be another user who defended BT.

LOL!......You are correct. Let me remind you that Brendon Todd won two tournaments in a row and almost made it three, while almost dead last in driving average. something like 270......there's more to golf than mindlessly hitting it in the rough.

We should have a Brendon Todd day on this glorious site!

No we shouldn’t.

But you’re correct he did win two events and almost a third but my point I was trying to make during that stretch to you and everyone else is this is not Brendan Todd, this is Brendan Todd on a heater, not indicative of Brendan Todd as a whole. He’s a fantastic player but not the world beater he was made out to be that month.

you’re right there is, but the margin for error is so much less if you don’t have distance. Speed means distance, but it also means height and spin.

I get it......but my point was that the short knockers was beating the long drivers and competing on the PGATOUR. I also pointed out that all the course played by the tour wasn't 7600 yards....at the time that false statement was running wild....

PGA tour events are better to watch than Korn Ferry events mainly because the TV coverage is way more comprehensive and better. However, if you watch a Korn Ferry tour event in person vs PGA tour event, there is a tiny difference or no discernable difference in the high quality level of the golf and the golf shots. They are hitting the same quality of golf shots. The talent on the KF tour is that high.

I think the ratings are determined more on what players people know, are popular, and like to watch. That is why the Seniors Champions Tour is more popular and higher ratings than Korn Ferry even though the Korn Ferry golf is higher level.  Definitely more room for more tournaments.

Kinda hard to have better coverage of KFT events when they only put 5 on TV every year

The golf is better than the European tour

But European Tour has higher world ranked players than Korn Ferry.

That’s because for whatever reason that tour and even the Asian tour give out more OWGR points than the KFT

If you were to put up the top 25 from the KFT last year to the European players who only play that tour, not the Rory’s etc who play PGA events I think you’d be surprised

I don't know how the OWGR points work. No doubt the talent on the KF is really good. It is hard to say if the players on DP tour are better than KF and vice versa unless they played the same tournaments for a longer time frame like an entire season. The talent is very comparable though. However, the money on KF tour is peanuts compared to DP tour. KF tour is competing weekly against PGA tour for ratings. More money and tournaments into pro golf is a good thing.

Our city used to host a PGA Tour event opposite the Open Championship. This was back when even some notable players chose not to make the trip overseas for just one tournament. Travel was very expensive and the purses weren't as big as today's.

If I took you to the course they used to host the tournament on you would never believe it could host a PGA Tour even. It was never a championship venue by any stretch and it's only gotten worse since then.
