Good info...thanks

Why do you want to know?

are you trying to get a hookup?

need to know who’s good?

trying to avoid somebody?
need to book a fitting?
had a fitting and don’t remember who?

You asked a vague, and pointless question. If you want names of people at least specify why. OR ~call the store~.

Theres a reason no one else has bothered to reply. Happy golfing.

I think it is a fair question to know who the fitters are. I recently had a suspect fitting here in AZ. Would have liked to know his name before I went. Sorry I can’t help in Dallas, but someone knowledgeable may chime in.

Fair enough.  I'm thinking of getting fitted there here pretty soon and wanted to know how the experience went.  I know a lot of the value of a fitting goes into the skill and knowledge of thr fitter.  I see a lot of reviews from fittings and the say so and so was awesome, also some say the fitter acted like they didn't really put much effort into it.  It would be valuableto me, if someone had been fit there and thought highly of it, I knew the name of the fitter so I might could ask for them.

Valid concern. I have done 6 fittings at PXG in AZ and only had one fitting that was not top notch. That only happens because the fitter I got to know moved to another store. PXG does an exceptional job for the $50 they charge.

Thanks man.  I'm just trying to gather information before I set it up.  I know firsthand how widely fittings can vary.

There is just as much responsibility on the one being fitted IMO, although that is less popular to talk about. Even the best fitter in the world will struggle with someone that does not have a good sense of what they want/feel and/or a consistent enough golf swing. Not saying anything about you or your skills, just saying that its a two way street that you need bring something to the table with as well.

Its a friend of mine Aarik Greenely. He is awesome, +3HC and former caddie. I was the first person fit at the store before they opened and I love my clubs. I have shot in the 80s once since switching to the GEN4, every other round has been in the 70s and I came into the season a 10 HC.

Go get fit, plus the milled SDaddy wedges are only $249 right now.  I used to play Srixon Z7x and they beat the by 15 yards per club with better dispersion.

This is definitely a very underrated comment, in my experience.  FItters cannot work miracles and we are not psychic.  Bad feedback or misrepresented information in a fit is going to lead to a bad fit.  I distinctly remember two occasions where this happened.  First, had the guy try literally every 120-130g shaft on the wall because nothing "felt good".  In a fit of frustration I grabbed X7 which I knew was too stiff for his 92mph full bore swing.  He loved it.  Said it felt amazing, was heavy and had him drop it to the inside nicely, loved the weight, etc.  Fast forward after playing a few rounds I get an email from him saying his elbows were about to explode and why were they so stiff?  Doy.  Came back, he wanted his old PX 6.5 put in the heads.  Done no charge and off he went, to what I assume was less elbow pain.

Next guy I will remember until the day I die.  Older gentleman came in with Burner Bubble irons.  Said he wanted more distance, forgiveness, etc.  He hit every shot about 42 feet fat.  Shorter shaft, thin sole, wide sole, V-sole, standard length, ladies length, junior length, didn't matter.  Fat, fat, fat...and like 100 yards with a 6i.  I had him try the Epon AF705 with a 1/2" short 60g Mitsubishi C6 and like the drop of a hat, he picked up 20 yards, spin increased by almost 1500 RPMs, high, straight shots, and dead nuts in the middle of the head.  I was frankly, floored.  I had not seen that much of an instantaneous improvement in a club before.  He loved them, a little set back on the price, and of course he needed them for a business trip in like 8 days.  We paid for express to get the heads and shafts in basically next day, built them up and he had them ready for his trip.  A few weeks go by and I have this HUGE scathing email in my inbox about how I was a scam and I totally misfit him.  Turns out, the guy actually played with a set of Taylormade CGB Max irons from like 4 years ago, with the Titanium Faces, super jacked lofts (42* PW IIRC), and superlight shafts.  He went for a "lesson" in Asia where he was visiting at the time and the "pro" convinced him that I had totally misfit him.  He actually needed at least 1/2" longer clubs and much, much smaller heads in order to hit the ball properly.  Also, I had lied to him because his irons flew his 6 iron 160 yards and these only flew his 6 iron 120 yards.  Which, if you remember folks, was 20 yards longer than the irons I thought he actually used.  Turns out, he just used the Burners as a driving range club only if he happened to be driving by one and felt like swinging but didn't have his set with him.  Full refund on a $2500 set of irons that we, to this day almost 2 years later, still haven't found a buyer for because of the unique set up.

Pro tip: Be honest with your fitter about your ability, what feels good, and what you are looking for.  And for God's sake, bring the clubs you actually use to the fitting!

Hate to bump this, but am curious if anybody has any experiences with this location.

I'm curious about getting fit. And I've admittedly had some really bad experiences in the past.  And I'm a golfer who admittedly has anxiety about being fit. I am just a regular weekend golfer. I feel like I'm really not good enough to be fit and the fitter is judging my swing. I tend to press and not relax enough to swing look I would if I was out on the course.  It was exacerbated at the last fitting I had with a guy who was pretty much a dick about the whole process and made me feel like I was wasting his time. I paid him halfway through and just left early.

Can’t speak for Dallas, but I’ve had fitting in St. Louis and Chicago. They were both very good fitters. Sorry for the response you got from the other guy, no reason for that type of response when you just were nearly asking for a recommendation. There just seems to be more than a fair share of jerks here sometimes.

Here’s a good thought. No matter how you swing that day, they have seen players better and players that are worse. Just relax and swing the club. Don’t worry about trying to impress a fitter because you won’t. And if you get into a situation where the fitter is being a dick, flat out let him know! He’s not the boss, you are.

Good to know.  If I'm not mistaken I got fit for some Mizunos years ago from Aarik.  It was it at Sellingers over by Roanoke.  He's a good guy.

Recently did the PXG Philly fit and it was very solid. Guy was named Ben and he knew his stuff. Gave him a little background and what I wanted to achieve as well as some of the stuff that worked in the past, and boom, tried 2 head styles in Gen 3-5, and narrowed the shaft down to 2 options.

Then we compared woods and he was honest that he didn’t see anything newer beating my stuff. I highly recommend Ben if you are in the Philly area.
