New TXG Videos featuring Cynthia - Average swing speeders rejoice

FYI, TXG has started doing a series of fittings for a new employee, Cynthia.  She has very average swing speeds, with her driver carrying in the 210-220yd range.  Today's video was a driver fitment, yesterday was some shaft changes to her T100 irons.  They will be doing future videos for hybrids and woods with some gapping content.

Cynthia looks like she's a pretty good golfer.

She might be a WRX club ho...she knows her stuff.

Ian...so what club did you play before?

Cynthia....I played a Callaway XR with a Black Tie.

I bet many pros on the LPGA have no clue what a Black Tie is.

 

I wonder what Cynthia does for TXG?...a fitter in training, accountant, receptionist, etc...I should call on of the locations tomorrow...lol.

It made all the difference in the world in my driving. Mine snapped mid-swing ( right in the middle of the shaft ) and I replaced it the next day. There is a guy at my club who is a rep for them.

 

I had the shaft for about a 18 months when it snapped. Unfortunately they are only warrantied for a year.

I read the info on their site. Seems really vague fitting categories. I guess I would fit in the SF405 since I’m high 80’s low 90’s SS with a quicker tempo. I’ll have to add trying one to my summer to do list. I see one on eBay for $400 but I’ve also heard there’s lots of fakes out there.

When I originally went to buy one I read the whole "KHT Autoflex" thread. It was consistently recommended that if you have a quick transition ( and I do ) to play up one flex. A member here ( My2Dogs ) also recommended the 505. That's who I ended up buying my original one through. My driver SS averages 92-95 which would realistically put me on the high end of the SF405 and the bottom of the SF505. I went with the SF505 and it's been a winner for me for sure.

 

After I had been playing mine for a few weeks I met the guy at my club who is a rep for them. He let me try the SF405 and I couldn't keep it on the planet, EVERYTHING was right, further right and WTH right.

 

And you're right about EBAY. Even though I buy a lot of stuff there I would be hesitant to buy an Autoflex there.

Sounds like I should maybe look at the 505 then. I’m definitely more Nick Price than Nick Faldo tempo wise…

I considered AutoFlex, and it's not like I can't afford it, but I wasn't willing to spend that kind of money without first making sure of it by trying it. OTOH I figured that $40 wasn't a huge loss if it didn't work out, so I bought a Maltby MPF Pro Series driver shaft in L flex to replace a Miyazaki CKua 50 A flex. I got higher launch, decreased spin, tighter dispersion and 5 yards more carry distance. How much more total distance I can't be sure of yet, as my course is still too soft to get maximum roll out. My 85MPH swing is smooth, with a slow transition.

Interesting, I need to do some more research about the shaft to see what it is that makes it work.

It should be easy enough to reverse engineer. I'd expect that some shaft manufacturers have already, but won't admit to it.

It’s a Toray M-series type material, similar to what is used in Ventus Veloflex, except not reinforced by secondary high tensile strength wraps.
