I thought the same thing. I have also always hoped that the people who do that are not cross posting the same tickets to StubHub, seeing where it sells first, and then getting screwed if you bought on SH due to eBay stupidity

Monday single, 3 day auction with regular bidding currently at $222.  And something I'm noticing with these dummies, the title always starts with the number of ticket in (brackets)

I bought a practice round in the fall and I got an email update from Stub Hub today that the seller has shipped the tickets to my house! Thats good news and I assume anyone else that bought practice round last year or now should get those shipped to your house unless you buy them late next week then you may have to pick them up in Augusta at Stub Hubs location.

Sure. I bought Wednesday and it was $2348 with fees/taxes. I think it would have been somewhat in line with the lowest prices off Stub Hub for this year at this time after people started listing them and prices dropped like they usually do.....

but with this low inventory this year, prices are probably 25-30% higher for the lower priced ones that pop up that we are used to. I probably got somewhat lucky then but then had to deal with this fiasco of Stub hub telling me to pick them up on the day of the event. It seems like more practice days are building up somewhat now and continues this week and hopefully prices will drop.  Volume is still way off on Stub Hub compared to prior years what DMBOLT has reported and what I remember in my opinion. My guess is Augusta is selling more of these to people that go to their map and flag hospitality and less availability to the people who apply for the lottery and get selected.  I've never been selected through the lottery.

People should pay whatever it is worth to them to attend but . . . .

 

I was selected in '95 back when you applied by mail (!) and couldn't make it work.  Applied faithfully ever after and finally got a chance to go in 2016 and had a fantastic time with my daughter.  Around $70 for our Wednesday and bought tickets from Butch on Washington for around $600 each on Tuesday around lunchtime for a "bonus" day.  Haven't been selected since. 

 

I'd love to go back and my wife would love to see the grounds but at the prices it commands now, unless I get selected to buy tickets, it's not worth it to me and only gets less so - in fact, last summer I forgot to even bother to apply (of course, I'd signed up for notifications and their system has proven pretty unreliable over the years in terms of them sending you those notifications so fool me twice - or many more times than that, haha).

Somewhat related Q - does anyone from last year remember if there is a walkway/path from Washington to get to the North Gate - or do we have to cut all the way down Berckmans and through the parking lot? Our house this year is off Washington but last time we were on the other side of Berckmans.

I didn't apply or get an email reminder last summer either, something must have been going on with their reminder system last year because I always get one.

Interesting, I never see all listings with a crossed out price and then a lower price by ~10%.  Only see the crossed out prices on sold listings.

They are very selective on which "sold" listings they show.  Wish they just had a way to see all that sold recently.
