ESPN + Expanding Coverage for 2022......

I had the ESPN+ and did not like the coverage. Yeah, they have several hours of coverage of tournaments, but it is just "featured groups and a few holes". You don't get to watch all the leaders and how the tournament is unfolding. It is like reading a book and only get to read a few random chapters and have to figure out the plot. Local networks showing the last 3 hours of third and final rounds is still better to watch.

I start with ESPN+ then move to Kodi for Thursday and Friday.  For the weekend I go with ESPN+, then Kodi, then OTA network broadcast.

It's essentially a streaming media player.  It is possible to find streams of events that are not usually free or OTA.  Sometimes it's a pain to setup, but it works pretty well for what it is.

PGA Live/ESPN+ is always like this and now the coverage is better than previous years. On Thursday and Friday ESPN+ usually have the top 12 players covered. Too bad if these players are not the leaders. On the weekend coverage is worst because they tend to not cover the top 10 leaders but then you likely have On the Air coverage. If ESPN+ is better like what you want then it makes the Golf Channel irrelevant. If you want more you will have to get the Golf Channel. I am very happy with ESPN+.

So far ESPN+ has scratched my golf watching itch. I can't justify a premium cable service just for the Golf Channel. Other that a few baseball games a year, golf is literally the only sport I watch on TV. I do like being able to choose the main feed or a certain group.  I usually just look for a guy I like to watch and just watch the group he is in. I'm currently watching Spieth and Keegan battle it out.

Good for you that you are happy with ESPN+. Many may like it,  I just don't like it. I just cancelled the ESPN+, so I know exactly what it is currently. I prefer the live feed on the major networks because at least they unfold the plot better and show important shots. I wish I was satisfied with the ESPN+ feed because then I would save $60/month. 😜

Yep.  Different strokes for different folks.  I love the ESPN+ coverage.  I much prefer getting to see every shot from a handful of pros (featured group coverage) vs. jumping between guys putting.

Ya, I like the option of following certain groups. I noticed at The Players they had a lot more groups to follow than in other tournaments. Maybe that's a sign of things to come. Hopefully their coverage will continue to improve.

I’ve enough problems wrangling a deal with Sirius every 3 months than trying for what the heck this streaming service is.

I ended up canceling Sirius all together, it wasn't worth the money. They didn't want to wrangle the price, despite the fact I was carrying the full spectrum in all 3 cars.

I couldn’t live without Sirius or ESPN+ for Golf. Plus the Dish Hopper to catch what I don’t watch live and I’m good for my golf fix. I love the Sirius golf programming. I listen in the car and my home. ESPN+ has been great for expanded golf coverage. Someone mentioned putting and I couldn’t agree more. They seemingly fixate on made putts the most. Everyone has different taste but I love OD’ing on golf now that I’m semi-retired. 🤷🏼

ESPN+.  I think it's like $5 or $6/month and can stream on your phone, ipad, computer or smart TV.   I don't find much in the way of political undertones, but I only watch live sporting events (college bball and PGA golf).  I don't watch any of the stupid opinion shows, so nothing to worry about on that end.  And no, I am not affiliated with or paid by ESPN or trying to shill for them or anything...lol.  Just saying that if you're a golf fanatic, the ESPN+ coverage does a great job of satisfying the appetite on Thursdays and Fridays

ESPN+ has been great for Th/Fri golf. I cut the cord last year and went all in on streaming.

Yeah, this year is way better than last year. I have been streaming all of my TV for the past 7 or 8 years and golf coverage has been nonexistent (other than The Masters) up until the last couple of years. Now with ESPN+, Peacock, and the PGA Tour app there is more coverage than ever. I alternate between ESPN+ and Peacock on Thursday and Friday, and on the weekend I'll have those on in the morning and switch to the CBS coverage on the PGA Tour app for the afternoon rounds.

The streaming services of ESPN + is amazing, almost too much; given streaming services for most vendors is RED INK.

I only care about the PGA Tour and ESPN+ is enough coverage for Th/Fri. They almost always shows the top players for the first 2 rounds and NBC/CBS covers the weekend for me. I only really care about the PGA Tour and Golf Channel loves to show hours of bs like Golf Central everyday.

Ya, I watch more golf than just about everyone I know, but I can’t watch Golf Central on repeat 😂.
