Bushnell Phantom 2

Any thoughts?  I have a Precision Pro NX I am having trouble zeroing in since it’s so small. I know first world problems. 
 

Thinking of just going a simpler route like the Bushnell phantom. Anyone tried one?

I have the original Phantom and it does what I need from it. It’s accurate for front middle and back. I still have a laser for shooting pins, or water, or any other hazards but for the most part I’m good with just the Phantom. Battery is good for a couple rounds the only thing is if you stick it to a cart make sure you remember on 18 to put it away. Don’t ask I had to make a couple trips back for it. Lol

Phantom user here. very handy device.

I recharge after every 18. any decent USB adapter works for it. 

takes a few hours to zap it up.

courses load based on the GPS location you're at when you turn it on. pick your course and just play.

the device is very user friendly.

 

not waterproof, so if rain hits - throw into a pocket.

shows distance to course hazards, i.e. water, bunkers.

a rangefinder can be handy for distances to on-course features, so if you have one leave it in the bag for specific circumstances.

If this one ever fails - I'll get another. like to find a small padded case for it.

Thanks for the waterproof heads up. I saw a cheap case on Amazon made for it for $13 I picked up.

Okay so just bought the Bushnell phantom 2 golf gps…Spanish was accidentally pressed for language instead of English😔, how do I reset to factory settings and begin again?  Thx loads

Just purchased 1, works ok i'll still use my Leupold rangefinder i just wanted front back & middle locations. My main issue is i have to turn it on and of few times to get the gps satellites to get sinked to find the first hole my course has upper & lower.

Just reset it pretty easy.

Phantom 2 is a great device.  I sold my laser and only use the Phantom 2, really like the simplicity.

I use a Precision Pro NX9 for my laser and Bushnell Phantom 2 (non-slope version) for gps. Both are great products, but I only take 1 of them to the course at a time. I have used both of these products for over a year and multi times a week since purchasing.  I had an NX7 Pro with slope, but the 9 is a lot better with picking up targets and it’s faster IMO. I wanted a gps that was compact, easy to use, priced well and not attached my wrist as my first gps device. So, I gave the Phantom 2 a go. 
 

The Phantom 2 is my go to nearly every round. The 2 has good upgrades from the 1st edition. It can take some time getting use to it since the buttons are multifunction. I only use it as a measuring device for hazards or distance (no scoring/etc). With this version you will have to do some minor calculations for slope adjustments. It has been spot on for me and way faster than a rangefinder even without slope.  The magnet is super strong and the clip that comes with it works fine as well. I find my playing partners looking at my cart/bag to find their distances all the time and putting their rangefinders away. They have learned it is trustworthy and it’s quick. Plus, it’s priced very well. 
 

I will purchase the updated slope version or ask Santa for it since I just realized it was released not to long ago.
