Walked 18 with Mrs NCL on Tuesday under cloudy skies and a steady 10 mph wind.  68 degrees at our 3:15 tee-off.  Played mixed tees about 5800 yards and shot a 50 + 48 =98 with 35 putts, 10 of 14 fairways hit with only one truly bad drive (hit a tree off the 1st but it came straight down).  2 penalty strokes as I rinsed one on the 120 yard Par 3 3rd getting too cute with an 8 iron downwind and on the Par 4 15th I hit a 40 yard wedge about 5 yards over the green and it rolled into a pond.  

Highlight of the day was the Par 4 13th (375 yards).  My second shot with a 29 degree hybrid from 142 hit about 15 feet left and rolled down to about 2 feet.  Mrs NCL hit her third from 104 to less than a foot.  A tap-in bird for me and a tap-in par for her...doesn't happen that way very often!!    .

I see you are still steady with your percentage of fairways hit NCL. Congrats.

I honor of the club turning 100 years old this year we are having a 9 hole two man tournament using antique clubs. Each team is sharing a bag of clubs and all participants will be playing this replica golf ball.

I told my friend Parker about the hickory tournament we are having and he told me that back home in England they would on occasion play a few holes with the old equipment. He predicted 6 over winning it due to the fact they will have no real idea on how far they can hit most of the clubs, and that putting will be entirely different. I was thinking even par would win it, but after my phone chat with Chef I bumped it up to 2 over. I bet a few of these old boys have done this before.
