I can't giggle too hard though because I have TWO players myself right on the cut line with a ton of golf left for both of them.

I saw a bunch of you jump on him this week and thought I just don't feel he'll make the Top 10. I was selectng my players this week not to win the tournament, but to finish T10 or better. I certainly didn't see him missing the cut.

Man Mr. Matsuyama you made be sweat bullets this evening.  Hideki makes the cut right on the number after a bogey on his last hole.     T 64

 

Jordan was a tad wobbly.      T23

 

JT you had the tougher wave but still showed your incredible tenacity.   Stud.        3rd place

 

Wahoo the commish avoids a minus 6 points MC at the PGA.

The Demon Deacon possesses an amazing ability to turn it up in Majors. 

I'm a fan of the skinny blonde young pro who was the ACC Player of the Year in 2017.

On a side note.  How about Mr Tiger Woods battling back after limping his way to a +4 to card a -1 second round and get under the cut by 1 stroke with a tough gritty two rounds of golf hampered by his leg he can't get full leverage or torque on the turn, he also can't seem to bend down enought to set up his chipping game.. Way to Go one Mr Woods!

I can't remember a recent round of a major championship that provided me with as much golf viewing entertainment as yesterday's round at Southern Hills did. 

From watching JT tough it out while playing in the morning winds as I peeked in at work, to all the fireworks the field produced as I watched the afternoon and early evening action from home I found it all to be superb golf viewing.  Friday's round was a memorable one. First the ESPN televised coverage was better than anything the other networks are capable of producing. From the special camera angles to the limited number of commercials the telecast was excellent. SVP has the perfect voice for calling golf action, and I have always enjoyed Curtis Strange and David Duval as analysts. Yes the threesome of Rors, Jordan, and the Big Cat was truly special to watch.  Indeed doc even after his double bogey Tiger was determined to make it to the weekend, but that was just part of the magic. You also had the Chilean Mito Pereira going extra low and Bubba was producing plenty of fireworks in route to his tidy 63. Then add to the mix Zalatoris's display of ball striking and his I can't miss a putt from inside 10 feet show and you had one of the more memorable second rounds of a major down in Tulsa.  Heck even Rickie made the cut as a bonus!

 

What special stuff might moving day today produce?

This PGA has started out in mighty fine fashion.

I don't want to speak for the others, but this is a tough club to get into.  In order for me to get into the Football Pick Em I had to complete the hazing. 

 

In the Instruction Forum I had to argue against the new ball flight rules.

In the Equipment Forum I had to explain why my Mizuno blades (which I had to purchase, with photos as proof) felt clunky.

In the Tour Talk I had to defend Bryson DeChambeau and his new swing which relies on feel, and lastly,

I had to go into the Rules and Etiquette Forum and explain I hit mulligans and wear jean shorts.

 

It wasn't that bad, but Touch also required me to frost my hair and use copious amounts of product, which also had to photographed.

 

I wish you luck, if you are able to get in, this is a swell group of avid golfers.

This Major the 104th PGA has been brutal for many popular picks in this contest. Missed cuts were plentiful in Tulsa. Minus 6 points is a bitter pill to swallow. Tonight let commish draw your attention to something positive. The two LP's kept it steady. The LP from Raleigh and the LP from Asheville both made it to the weekend with all three of our picks still intact. Will either one of us snag a Top 5 spot and really cash in ?  No, for that to happen one of us would have to hit with a player from pretty far back on final round Sunday in a major and that just isn't happening. Forget about us picking any winners in this one. That's ok because we're just happy we avoided getting kicked in the cashews and experiencing any of that minus 6 nonsense this week. 😅

 

A few Monday's ago the two LP's met for the first time and played some golf together.  

Quite possibly this assisted in the decent performance of our PGA picks this week.
