"Never have I ever..."-Golf Version

I was thinking about interesting "never have I evers" that relate to my golf game. Things that should have happened at least once, but never have. 

 

1.) Never have I ever popped up/crowned/sky-balled a wood (at least since I was in middle school). 

2.) Never have I ever had a hole out on a Par 4/Par 5 for eagle longer than 40-ish yards (as a +3 handicap). 

3.) Never have I ever gone a full year without whiffing a shot! It has happened at least once a year out of a predicament in the trees or misjudging a flop shot from a fluffy rough lie. 

 

Anyone got any good/funny "never have I evers"?

Haha this is kind of fun. But the way the game is played i would need to have a drink for any of the 3 you list that i have actually done

 

1) not drinking ( i can't remember the last time i did it)

 

2) Not drinking (my longest hole out is 90 yards)

 

3) Drinking (i don't believe i whiffed a ball last year)

Broke an 8 round curse on the 10th hole of my 9th round this past weekend as scratch.

Never have I ever birdied all the par 5s in a round.

 

I've got close once, when I birdied the first three, and had a 3-ft uphill birdie putt on the last par 5 of the round to complete the slam....and I missed.

 

Also, I think I can say that never have I ever hit all four par threes in a round in regulation (assuming the course has four and not more or less).

I had NEVER heard of this game until an episode of "The Big Bang Theory" some years ago. I didn't catch on then and now I'm more confused.

 

b.matt #1 "never popped up". You said "NOT drinking, can't remember the last time". That means, same as b.matt, you HAVEN'T done that either, correct ?

 

b.matt #2 "never holed out for eagle past 40 yards". You said "NOT drinking, you holed out from 90". So in this case, differently from b.matt; you HAVE done what he hasn't, correct ?

 

So why in the first case do you NOT drink but in the 2nd case you DO ?

I've never:

-Played a round and NOT lost a ball (even shooting in the 70's)

-Broke par

-Hit a 300 yard drive in the last 15 years 😞

-Been good enough to play blades but I do anyway because they're not the devil and they make me feel good

I think he made a typo haha. In the first case, he wouldn't drink (a "I have never"). In the second case, he would drink (a "I have").

I've played rounds and never lost a ball, but agree with the other 3.

- Never broke par

- Never hit a 300 yard drive - EVER

- ditto the blades. Not good enough to play them, but I love playing them.

Never have I ever met anyone from wrx in person and not truly enjoyed the experience! (And before the inevitable smart aleck comment, because of course I would certainly know what to anticipate, lol, I have actually met several).

Never have I ever smoked a cigar on a golf course.

Never have I ever yelled "Get in the hole" at a PGA Tour event. (or any other idiot thing like Baba Booey or Mashed Potatoes. Morons.)

Never have I ever used golf ball finding sunglasses.

Never have I ever left the course after the first clap of thunder.

Never have I ever driven a cart across a green. (I have put one in a bunker once.)

Never have I ever used foot spray on my driver face.

Never have I ever refused someone a breakfast ball in a friendly round.

Never have I ever played barefoot.

Never have I ever take my shoe off and hit a shot out of the water.

Never have I ever fluffed a lie.  I've seen quite a few golfers (including my father-in-law) help themselves when they're in the rough.  No judgement.  That life's just not for me.

Never have I ever worn shorts on a golf course. I would like to thank Under Armour golf pants for keeping that streak alive when I moved ro CA almost 7 years ago lol.

One round in 53 years of golf  I hit ALL fairways and ALL greens in the same round(no it was not a putt putt round)

2009 on a  6500 yard home course.  ALL greens and fairways with 6 one putts.  Not likely to happen again!
