Who has the best “B” game on tour now?

DJ. His B game is still winning occasionally and consistently contending in majors. 
 

Seems like the golf world is ready to move on from him. I think he has the highest ceiling and highest floor on tour.

Good call.  DJ was only out of top 25 twenty three times since 2018.  Rahm has been out of top 25 thirteen times during the same time frame.  DJ’s B game is one of the best.  The only knock right now is he is bringing his B game all the time now.  He will turn it on again soon.  Looks pretty good this week.

Yeah DJ had is B game all last year and still was the best player at the Ryder Cup. 
Similar to his 2019 the media largely wrote off DJ in favor of younger players. He’s gonna have another run at #1 in the world.

Another example of Rahm on his “B” game.  I don’t know how he even stayed in it the way he hit it this weekend.

Yeah, Rahm. Was well below his best vs Cam Smith a couple of weeks ago but still could have won.

Well Rory should have won this week in Dubai with his B-/C game if his driver didnt go walkabouts down the stretch, although it was very poor all week. 

Rahm and DJ are also very very good shouts

Rory is not a grinder. His A game (when he is in the right headspace) is so far above his B or C game.

I agree he doesn't grind out wins as often as he probably should do, however he does often turn a top 20 into a top 5 or 10 to his credit. But realistically the only time he has had his true A game in the last few years I would say is the 2019 Canadian open before then I'm thinking maybe 2015 Wells Fargo then we're all the way back at his major wins. 

 

So two Fedex cups, a race to Dubai and 12 ish wins since then with his B(maybe B+) game would make a strong case

Yup Rory is still one of the best in the world with his B or C game. 2019 he was betting pretty close to his A game and the pandemic really hurt his momentum. When I watch Rory he looks like he’s lost a lot of his passion and I hope that changes and we see a second prime out of Rory soon. 
 

Personally I would take DJ’s B game over everyone currently. DJ hits it straight, underrated iron player, streaky putter and above average mental game. Similar to Phil at this point in his career he’s guy that should have 2x the majors he has and I could see him making up for his past major collapses late in his career.

I think Rahm has largely been playing with his A game and not capitalizing as much as he should. He did get screwed out of winning the memorial last year so I give him 2*. But the way he played should’ve resulted in 4-5 wins instead of just the 2*. He’s a great talent but he hasn’t separated from the pack in any way other than the rankings. There’s a group of 5 to 10 guys that could be #1 by year end.

Cantlay is a good example.  A player who’s “bad” still results in top 10’s.
