This is exactly how I felt about Tiger when his ATM scandal broke. And then I realized that his life choices don't affect me one bit.

I was just comparing the LIV money to the Senior PGA Championship money. Coming in 33rd, Phil made $146Tsomething, more than K.J. Choi made coming in 4th, and much more than the $19,500 the guys who came in 33rd in the senior event. If he misses the cut at the US Open, he won't make anything (obviously). 

I don't know how much Phil lost from losing sponsors, but it seems more like he lost them by opening his mouth rather than joining LIV. 

 

And speaking of sponsors, I wonder how PGA tournament sponsors feel about the suspensions.

There is a cuts made bonus he can start pulling out of at 50 and why would he have to pay CA taxes when he is/did move residence to FL?

Yup there is no such thing as clean money but is doesn't keep the smear campaign from going full steam ahead. A guy I know that is fairly connected says wait 2 weeks and for the next round of commits. There are a couple more big names.

Just an fyi here.  If you are talking about a 401k look up the rule of 55 for penalty free access to your money at 55 years old.

Not all, but many many pro golfers throughout the years have been degenerates, drunks, philanderers.

 

I know someone who tried hosting a KFT player years ago when it was called something else... They guy brought home a stripper and they were pretty loud in the bedroom. That was the last time they hosted a pro golfer. 

 

I still like Phil, yeah he is being disingenuous with this whole thing. But I'm not one to judge someone... He is not this evil person, that I'm pretty sure of.

All this GREED for the guaranteed money grab makes me really appreciate the people who live modest lives financially (K-12 teachers, Mother Teresa, etc) to truly make the world a better place. I have no sympathy for millionaires trying to become billionaires.
