Anyone know if V4 will be released this year?

 

Anyone having band buckle coming loose on current watch and is there a fix for that?

They just came out with the H4 which can be hung from the bag, worn on the belt, or which can be combined with their laser rangefinder. As for the strap coming loose, don't stretch it tight and get a set of these:

no issues with the band on my V3...haven't heard about V4

I have been wondering this too.

 

I'm in the market for my 1st GPS watch system and the V3 looks the best bet at the moment because Clubhouse Golf (UK) are selling them for £119.

That's a 1/3 off the original UK retail price (£179).

Now that usually rings alarm bells that a newer model is on the way soon, and stocks of the old version are being cleared out.

 

The V2 came out in summer 2017.

The V3 came out in summer 2020.

Three year gap.

So, the V4 is theoretically due around about now, if the interval remains similar.

 

But is the new X5 actually the replacement for the V3?

Or is there still a marketplace for a new 'non-touchscreen' V4.

I bought a V3 after the X5 came out due to its price.  I have been amazed at how easy it is tracking.  It rarely ever misses a shot or putt.  I’ve tried two other tracking systems with tags over the years, and hands down, the V3 is the closest to fool proof.  I think the X5 was the V3 replacement.  They should have dressed up the V3 and left the system alone instead of trying to get more techy. The thing just works.  The only gripe I could justifiably have is that it can be slow to find the satellites.  I’m with you on a V4.
