XGolf - Simulator Business

Found out they are opening an XGolf near me. Perfect as there are no simulator bays nearby. However, usually use trackman simulators is there a huge difference? Any gripes? 

 

Saw a couple posts about some fictitious number outputs.

I worked at a Trackman sim place over the winter. In my OPINION, Trackman has a little difficulty tracking the driver well. On TXG they explained this is because photo monitors see the face where Trackman sees the larger driver head mass and can't see just the face.   You'll want to use the RCT balls as they will track sooooooo much better.  I mostly play the par 3 courses because that's what I want to practice and I can bang out a lot of holes quickly.  One of the fun ones even has perfectly flat greens so you can practice putting without wondering if it was slope that is throwing off your putting.  Once you get the hang of it, it's REALLY fun to play on Trackman.  I think I have like 50+ rounds in this winter.

I find it decent at number output with spin being the number it gets wrong most. I’m on gc quad a few times a week and know my numbers.  For me whenever I go to x golf spin on irons is too low vs driver spin is too high by a few thousand. 
 

Seems more accurate for lower swing speed players.

I just spent an hour on one of their Nex sims and found it all over the place with spin and direction. Had some flush drivers that were <1000 rpm and with launch angles of 5-6*. I've spent enough time on Trackman both indoors and outdoors to know they're incorrect numbers (I'm normally at 12-13* launch, 2400-2600 spin).

 

Distance was consistently 20 m short on carry. Several irons that were flush and would have churned out my stock cut read as pull hooks; same issue with misses – low heel was hooking rather than spinning up and drifing right.

 

Pity as its affordable (AUD$35/hr) and more accessable than the only other simulator location that anyone can use.

In my experience x golf falls somewhere in the middle. Not as consistent and accurate as the sim place with trackman but much better than the place with trugolf.

I use data from X Golf, as we have one locally and it's pretty darn affordable.  Fictitious number outputs?  I don't know if I'd say "fictitious," but there is a difference between sim numbers and actually on the course numbers...I, for one, notice a LOT more rollout distance on X Golf than I do on the course.  So, for instance, when I'm just on the driving range at X Golf and getting my numbers (shoutout to GolfForever), I'm generally only using the in-air distance and not the whole distance.

 

For the record, the outdoor courses nearby are somewhat notorious (verified by range finders) as scooching their yardage signs in 5 yards or more.
