Hey Reid-O!!! When are you gonna put that 905R in play and kick out that Tourstage?! You know it's a matter of time before it happens. Hurry up and come to the darkside :)

You keep killing me on the drives and making me feel like a girlie man, I just might have to do that. I'll try another shaft change before switching out. Maybe copy you with the UST V2 in the X Drive.

Either which way.....no money right now with the addition of two more putters and a new golf bag. New pics coming soon. :beee:

outstanding BAG! Try and play with them, they are too pretty!

:beee:

Thanks...everything's photographed when it's brand new so there's a few wear marks on them now. Did I just say that? There's goes the talk of me being a "ho"! :)

Anyways.........what do you do when your clubs are playing okay???...(notice I didn't say SET Beruo??)...You buy a new golf bag of course! I had been actually looking for a super light stand bag so I could do some more walking when I came across this bag. My buddy PM Hacker being the butthead he is... :cheesy: ...talked me into getting it. In his words, "Who cares if it's not light...it looks awesome! Any you're fat so you could use the extra weight and exercise!" Well, I couldn't help but agree on the bag looking awesome.....not the fat part. So I dug in my wallet and purchased the new for 2006 Tourstage Japan CBTS64 stand bag. I love the looks of it, the amount of pockets and most of all the incredible quality of the material and the bag itself. In my opinion it's easily the best looking and best made stand bag I've seen in ages. Check out the first post for the pics! :)

Well, it's a new month so that means...New Clubs! :idhitit:

I had a little spare time since I wasn't at work or on the golf course and figured it was time to update the bag pics so they can match the signature.

New additions.....

Cleveland Hi Bore 9.5* w/V2 75X shaft. I've really been playing great with the club which was initially just an experiment while I had my gamer the X Drive with Joe Kwok getting tuned up. It's been so good for the last four round, I still haven't hit my X Drive.

Tourstage X Drive....same pics but it's back from Joe. Thanks to Golfwrx and the free Fujikura shaft I won from submitting my pictures of the Sony Open, I decided to have Joe install a Fujikura 660TR X shaft in my X Drive. Hopefully in two weeks after I finish two tournaments, I can test it out. Right now the confidence I've built in the Hi Bore just has me for once in the mood not to change anything in the driver area.

Mizuno F50 3 wood added. I stuck a Graphite Design Purple Ice shaft in it. I've taken it to the course but just haven't had the oppurtunity to hit it yet. Like I said, the driver was doing so well, there was no need to pull out a 3 wood to play safe.

Callaway X Tour Wedges. I've added the 52 and 60 degree wedges. The 60 has the Phil Mickelson sole grind and also the MD/Mack Daddy grooves. The grooves put an enormous amount of spin on the TP Blacks I've been using but they also take a chunk out of the ball. I'm used to the ball "hairs" sticking out after hitting with a Tour Wedge, but the MD grooves take out chunks. If you hit a flop or down on the ball with it, don't even think about using the ball again. I hope with a little more play they actually dull a little. It could be very expensive using this wedge but the results have been well worth it.

The new Tour Stage stand bag is very sharp looking. Have you had a chance to hit the HiBore yet? How's it play with the V2?

Thanks guys. Yeah..the TS bag is pretty cool looking. A little harder to keep clean but well worth it to enjoy the looks. Yes, I've had a chance to hit the Hi Bore. I've played four good rounds with it already. You can find a my review on it here in the driver section.

And Joe...me worse then you???? :idhitit: Well....if I keep talking to you and you keep telling me on the newest and greatest...you might have a point! :D

I can only laugh Reid, i swear you might change something in your bag more than anyone i know, but i love it.

I am fighting the Hi Bore urge thanks to you. I am starting to lose! :idhitit:

John, coming from you, I take this as an extreme compliment. You are one of the few guys that makes me feel like I'm not crazy. :D

I know the X-Drive won't make it back into your bag for a long time, since the HiBore is going long & straight for you.

Hey, update your pics!!! I went ho'ing ;) with you last week and share your goodies!!

You of all people should know how hard it is for me to keep the pictures up to date with the signature. Sad thing is some of the clubs in the pictures are two ago already. :yahoo: Heck..the putters changed three times with the addition of the one I got with you at the store today! :)

Shaft to be determined for your 3wood? Having problems deciding between something from your bucket of pulls and a new shaft which will eventually become the next pull (from the 3, which will be pulled within the next 5 weeks, then reshafted with the stock shaft when that club is up on the chopping block)?

Tell ya what . . . send me the Crown Reserve, and I'll send you a YS-5.1 stiff pull and we'll call it even. If your HiBore is still as long and accurate as you say, you'll never have use for a 3 wood again--so it won't matter what you shaft it up with. Then you'll be able to carry another putter--which will justify you doubling your current collection . . .

Just looking out for your best interests man. :yahoo:

nice sticks man!!

how do you like those X tour wedges?

I'm wondering if I should pick some of those up to see if they'd replace my vokeys?

Thanks, so far the X wedges have performed pretty well for me. I've actually had to change my shot techinique to compensate for the extra spin I've been getting. The 60* really worked great for me. I just love how the sole works and allows me to open up the blade really easily yet not feel like I'm going to cut the ball in half if I misshit it. Lays down perfectly and the MD grooves really grab the ball....chew them and spit them out. So far the only ball I haven't chewed with it too much are the Nike Platinums. The Vintage finish is startinng to wear off and some rust is beginning to grow on the club.

At first I wasn't sure the X Wedges would kick out my Tour Vokeys but so far they're doing a pretty good job of it.

I added a few new pics to attempt to match the signature for once! :drinks:

New additions to the lineup......

Nike SQ 15* with a Mitsubishi Bassara v83 X shaft. This club replaced the Callaway Fusion 3wood that replaced the Mizuno F50 3 wood that was pictured here before. The Cally didn't hang around long enough to be photographed. It's still in a bag somewhere in the house, but the Nike explosively beat it. The SQ has a very solid feel at impact, unlike how the Fusion felt. I've been getting a great ball flight and have been finding it really easy to use. It doesn't have the big headed look like the SQ driver although it still retains the same paint scheme with the grey edge on the rear of the head. Really a surprisingly great 3 wood that has hopefully found a home for awhile at least.

Cameron American Classic III flange with UST Frequency Filtered Shaft and Gripmaster Mahogany Leather Pistol grip. I purchased this putter while my other "gamer for the moment" was getting refinished. To my surprise, it's been working even better then the gamer. I added a few tweeks to give it some styling points and those too have really surprised me. The UST FF Shaft really adds a lot to the putter. Well, actually it takes away a lot. All the vibration you feel that travels up from the head at impact disappears through the filter. All you're left with is a tremendous amount of clean feel. In my opinion you can almost feel the ball stick to the face at impact and start rolling. I really love this shaft and highly recommend it to anyone who already has a gamer and would like just a little more from it.

Cameron Tel3 refinished in Nickel Satin. This was my gamer prior to getting it refinished. Just in case the ACIII goes south on me, I set it up with the UST FF shaft and the Gripmaster Mahogany Leather Pistol grip. The feel on this putter is fantastic and now the upkeep has been cut in half.

Two things I don't think I'll ever be able to do without on a putter in the future...the UST Frequency Filtered Shaft and a Gripmaster leather grip. Try them both out on your gamers!

Until next time! :drinks:

Thanks for the comment John. Don't feel bad about the Del Mar...the pics are far from being in order of their rotation. Just a "sampling" of my putting sticks. The Del Mar is probably in a solid 3rd place right now. :drinks:

By the way....I picked up a Cally X Tour 60* with the MD for Russ. He used it the first time yesterday in a scramble tournament. He called me up to tell me he went through 9 Pro V1's during his round. I asked him, "Did you lose that many???" :drinks: He told me, "No..the Cally ate them all!" :cheesy:

That 60* is nasty!! Anyway, those 9 balls are in the shag bag now and those were from the box you gave me for my B-Day. I'm back to using the crappy Loco's until the grooves dull a bit.

Nice of you to finally update your pics to match the signature!! I got to do the same before I leave on Monday. I might pull the trigger on the SQ 3 wood too!!

Magee...thanks for the compliments but no way is this close to being John's! He's MY hero! :drinks:

And Pm.....I told you when I gave you that wedge...."be careful"....I didn't mean to be careful about busting up the wedge...I meant the balls!

Thanks for the comments guys! :drinks:

Nice bag Reid. You're only a rescue mid, some silver scott irons, a chipper, and jean shorts away from joining me at the local muni-hack-track (you do have the pre-requisite golf-related beer koozie, right?). Bring back the Tourstage stuff--this move toward retail is unbecoming . . . for you, fits me to a tee. :drinks:

:drinks: If it was anyone else, I don't think I'd be laughing so much. I'd come and bust your balls but I can't get into chat! :drinks:

Just for you....I think I will pick up that special edition Ai Miyazato Tourstage wedges! :cheesy:

nice newport. I like the custom finish. Mine's got this black crappy looking finish. Did someone other than titleist/sc people do it? I'm looking around, hopefully Mr. Kwok can help me out with a couple of my wedges. I'm waiting for him to get back from vacation. :drinks:

Anyway, nice bag(s)

What kind of grass is that in your front yard? That looks awesome!

Thanks for the comments. The TeI3 Neport was sent to Thailand for the refinish at Golf Club Transformers.

Since beruo "upset" me by telling me in chat that my bag was getting closer and closer to being a full on Golf Galaxy bag, he "inspired" me to get some of the 2006 Limited Edition of 1000 sets Tourstage X Blade wedges. Not that there's anything wrong with GG bags, I've used to have a full Tourstage bag before. So...sighhhh...in three days..the bag pics have been updated again. :drinks:

Reid, Reid, Reid, Reid, Reid. If you continue to make purchases every time I bust your balls, you'll be going through bag changes . . . weekly. (cool) Ooops, sorry man--never realized how strong my influence over you really was. Just don't go trying to kill Jody Foster trying to impress me. ;) (yes I know it was hinckley who attempted to kill reagan to impress foster--artistic license ;) ).

However, your acquisition of the Miya-spec wedges, the Maru-spec wedges, and SQ 3-wood reminds me of a Joke. What commonality do Ai Miyazato, Shigeki Maruyama, Michelle Wie, and pitbull808 share?

None of them have won an event on the LPGA. :drinks:
