Tour edge c721 vs g425 lst. Anyone head to head comparisons?

I have owned both the C721 and the G425 Max (not LST).  I absolutely love the G425 and it is in the bag.  I bought the C721 earlier in the year but traded it back in during the 60 day test drive for the G425.  The C721 was LONG and actually very forgiving.  My only complaint was the Smoke Blue shaft.  I could be very wild with it (as I have tested it in a couple other drivers), that being said now that the price is dropping I am keeping my eye out for one with a Ventus red as I think that could be a great combination.  I would have tested that at the store, but being left handed all they had was the one on the shelf (with the smoke blue shaft).  The G425 is just super forgiving and although not as long definitely offers a ton of consistency hitting fairways.

Do you think the C721 would be just as forgiving and longer if it had the same shaft(or better fitted) as the G425?

I second this. I had a 9.5 C721 early last year with  RDX Blue 70 and the shaft just doesn't suit me. I owned a G425 max and test the G425 LST.  The C721 is every bit as good as the Ping stuff, juts need the correct shaft. For the record, I've owned teo g425 max drivers. Very nice drivers, but I still prefer the G400 Max and the G410 Lst.

The C721 seemed hotter but the real killer was the TE had such a better feel (sound). And I've been a Ping fan for a lot of years. I preferred the G410 over the 425 in the driver department.

The sound/feel is definitely much better with the C721.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. Had the EXS 220 and it sounded so great, I really miss it.

I had heard about the awful tin can sound of the 425 drivers (which is the only negative in an otherwise fantastic driver), but never heard it myself. Played with a dude last week who had the 425 Max and yes- it sounds dreadful to my ears. But it was long, that’s for sure.

I own a 10.5 C721 and my feelings are that it is the sleeper driver of the year for sure. It will get overlooked from the big names, but this thing is a bomber with excellent feel and sound. Very forgiving across the face and low spin. I started off with the standard black RDX 60 6.5. But with time I struggled with the light weight of that shaft. Cut its down in the 50s. That’s too light for me. Had a new tensei pro Orange 70TX laying around. Had it built and it has been everything I was looking for with this club. Launch went down a touch. Spin either stayed the same or went down and now the weight is right. Been super consistent and silly long at times!

With the prices of these now , anyone on the fence of trying one would be silly not too. It easily beat out the TSI2 I was demoing at the same time I picked up the C721 sight unseen. Just a dang good club!

I think so. It performed great in the txg driver bracket.

Tour Edge has drivers that compete with any. The new E722 is coming out and it is supposedly more like the C721, while the C722 is now smaller (445cc) and is supposed to still be very forgiving. I’ve seen a few reviews praising both heads as sounding and feeling great.

I want to also point out that I purchased this club based off TXG driver bracket results. And the fact that I have been playing their CB4 fw since it’s release with excellent results.

Little off topic but the E522 woods and hybrids might be the easiest clubs I've ever hit. They aren't going to be for everybody because of the offset . I have to admit I returned a 7 wood because I didn't give it much of a chance. Once I did give them a fair chance my bag is filled with them. If you're losing some speed they are a great feeling club and as long as any.

Currently testing C721, G425 MAX, and ZX5. My experience wIth the Smoke Blue is similar to the others above… I’m all over the place with it. I’ve got some Elements Chrome shafts coming to have a more apples-to-apples comparison with the Ping Tour 65X shaft that I’m a big fan of in the G425.

Currently game the C721 10.5 w/ Ventus Red velocore 6s and 2 seasons ago, played the G410 plus 10.5 with EvenFlow white 65s and AD-IZ 7s. C721 is hands down my favorite driver I've ever played - admittedly not sure how much of it I can chalk up to the Ventus Red being a great fit, but the head is super forgiving and long. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about the ridgeback crown but I've come to like it.

The G410 plus was great for what I needed it for - finding more fairways as I learned how to hit driver better. Don't think it was as long as many other drivers and my longest with it still would've probably been 10-20 yds shorter than my longest with the c721.
