When I read WM “the incident” I assumed it was about the beer can barrage. Come to find out it’s just about Harry and Joel showing of the bods! 😂 Fitting that Gawbage man was the 1st to reply to something WM related!! Haha

 

*looking at the pic below. Looks like Joel D has beer coming out of his mouth! Did He pick up one of the beers that was thrown and take a swig?! 🤣

What surprised me is how open Higgs was about how much he thinks Bay Hill's setup stinks. I always thought tour players couldn't criticize courses too harshly because...well...it's the tour. Let's be real, I (as a very average golfer) would never want to play Bay Hill because it seems too hard and contrived but it was cool/interesting/refreshing to hear a tour player come out and say "that course sucks I am never playing that tournament." It made me smile.

Can’t but like Harry Higgs more every time I hear an interview or podcast with him. Just seems like a normal guy, someone that you could shoot the breeze with any time, but he is also able to play golf at an incredible level.

I always tell my wife I have the body of a pro athlete, I just don't say its golf...(and I hope she doesn't assume bowling)

Lol.  Tiger won there 8 times on the PGA Tour.  Says a lot about what Higgs thinks about his own golf game.

 

Probably fun to have a few beers with though.

Based on his current level of play and FEC rankings on the PGA Tour Harry won't have to worry about being invited back to the API. Funny he complained about Bay Hill while he didn't play in the event. Where was his complaint when he played there in 2020 when the winning score was higher than last week?

 

Wonder how he feels about courses when he misses the cut on courses much easier than Bay Hill? Does he whine about them as well?

 

He should worry about playing better every where. He might be a great interview. However his level of play currently on the PGA Tour is meh and he may be destined back to the KFT.

That is certainly a valid point. The flip side would be of the guys that play really well, only Rahm seems to ever say anything consistently interesting. Guys like Morikawa, Scheffler, and Xander are mostly dialtones that (smartly) don't say anything interesting. Don't get me wrong, if I was a tour player I would never say anything other even mildly interesting but I guess I value guys that make it interesting. Higgs is a good player but he doesn't seem to have any elite skills so I imagine he will have to work hard to stay on tour. Even now, I think is 125 on Fedex standings which is basically the cut line for auto qualifiers into Fedex St Jude. 

 

API was different and it is carving out a niche which I think is important for each tournament. It wasn't my favorite golf to watch but probably better than watching guys hit into dart board greens all day. I still would rather see guys have to deal with more short grass around the greens like at Concession last year. That might have been one of my favorite non-major tournament venues of all time. And guys still scored well out there.

I swear there seems to be some correlation with "skinny fat" PGA golfer bodies with no muscle tone.  Just look at that golf boys video.  Like something to do with flexibility, more flexible fascia or something???   Any physical therapists or similar out there that can help here lol
