I hate to even mention this but Phil not being there is unbelievable. Nobody benefited more by Tiger’s presence than Phil has. I hope he did the right thing and reached out offering his congratulations. We might never know.

I will take a stab at this, I think you should be at least 50 to be inducted.  I just don’t know how you develop a minimum criteria.  Tiger was so dominant that others may have not met a criteria, because 1 person was so dominant.  Let’s make a hypothetical example.  Golfer A has 20 career wins and 0 majors, Golfer B has 10 wins but 3 majors.  Who should go in?

I don’t understand the criticism of the hall of fame. I’m new here but I see many refer to it as the “hall of good”  etc. Whats the beef? Maybe it deserves its own topic but I don’t get it. I’ve looked over the list of members and don’t see anyone who shouldn’t be in. Just don’t get it. Clue me in or start another topic. What’s up with the criticism?

Not sure what you guys are talking about, Tiger's speech was great! Loved how he more about his background growing up and the sacrifices his parents made as well as the racial barriers he had to overcome. Absolutely loved the quote "where's the first hole and what's the course record"!

He wasn't allowed in club houses so he would show up to tourneys and ask that. CRAZY!!! Coulda listened to him talk for hours.

If anything, TW never even *says anything. That was a veritable geyser of soliloquy for him lol. Good to see. 
 

Definitely provides some insight into his drive. Combined with his talent, that there is

And one of the best athletes to walk the planet 

 

Jordan, Gretzky, Brady

 

TW put the game on that level of global recognition and excitement.
