Well, the DS72 arrived today, it’s superb.
My last one (for this year - I hope) is now in production and I think it’s going to be killer. Anyway enjoy the pics.

Looks fantastic. Also good to know they can do a DS72 with plumber neck. I’m sure I’ll find out in my fitting but usually I feel to visually like plumbers necks.

In all seriousness, if I signed up and pay the fee do you think they could make this? I’m hesitant to pay the full feel only to hear the Craz-e isn’t an option. Any one able to confirm whether they’re available?

My Anser 2x came from a back room and was apparently still some sort of prototype. The back cavity lettering is different because of that. I wouldn't be surprised if there are 5-10 models back there that aren't one of the "stock" options.

Just want to say that i dream about a custom PLD since the opening of the program but to be honest, i am hesitant to drop that much on a putter. But that is just me. 
 

i was still almost obsessed by the quality of these. I found one used in classified on here.

I think most people here have stuck with their custom PLDs since they got them. Obviously not everyone has, many have moved on, maybe not as they expected with initial results. 

 

For me a big putter collector I haven't really sniffed at anything else since I got my PLD in the past 2 years. I have played other putters in my collection cause they still deserve to be played and funny enough set my best score with something else. But the PLD is just a consistent and confident putter for me.

Received my cradle and iPod touch this morning for my fitting on the 1st, going out of town this weekend so I was eager to knock out the 3 putting sessions and send the data over to Alex.

 

For those of you who have gone through the fitting before, was inconsistent shaft lean something that was able to be fixed with adjustments to the putter itself or did you find the issue primarily due to your putting stroke technique? My other stats were averaging in the plus range across all three sessions but my shaft lean was easily my worst category; always between 1 and 5. I'm sure the majority of the issue is my putting stroke but I'm just curious if a different neck type, head shape, weight, lie angle, etc. helped at all during the fitting.

 

Been following the thread for years now, so to finally have the opportunity to make it out to Phoenix is an awesome feeling. I appreciate everyone who posted pictures of their PLD's to give us some ideas and inspiration! I'll be sure to do the same.

Did my virtual fitting today. Awesome experience. The overview of the iPING data along with the Stack putting sessions I sent to my fitter were incredible and genuinely helpful for learning how to become a better putter. 
 

The fitting validated my belief that I putt best with a putter that is nearly face-balanced and being left eye dominant, something with little to no offset.

Top line, off white paintfill, some stamping on the sole and on the end of the toe. 
 

I was surprised by a couple things they were able to accommodate: the block PING logo in the cavity without the three lines underneath and putting in a standard Iomic grip. However, I was not able to have them build my all time favorite PING shape, the Voss since it cannot take a double bend shaft. Still very very excited to get this club in my hands. Pictures to follow.

My current putter has a single bend shaft with no offset and other than the shaft not bending as much front-to-back, I can’t tell any difference from a bend shaft that has offset.

Gamed my stock PLD Hovland Edition this weekend.  Things I love about it: one piece construction, carbon finish, USA on trail edge, simple design, beautiful verall milling, almost smooth lightly milled face, gray thin PING cord grip.  You know it's cool when you stare at your putter.  PING are really putting out top notch product right now.

Offset and loft can affect shaft lean, as well as inconsistent ball position.

 

Something like the HackMotion Plus would be an excellent training aid albeit an expensive one. But you can use a ball between your wrists and grip if your movements are excessive or want to feel what a consistent wrist motion feels like.

If you're shaft lean is consistent in the fitting they'll adjust loft to get the best roll on the ball. It's why you'll see a lot of lofts from 4-7° on standard length putters in this.

If it's consistent like you said, if it's inconsistent you'd like the player to find where they're comfortable and try and suggest drills to make them more consistent. I'd get the player to make sure their set-up is repeatable and the ball position doesn't change.
