Thanks! Surprised there was no adjustment with lie with the data being as flatt-ish

I think after talking it out, a lot of it was due to the surface I was putting on

What were the first two pics from vs. the second two, some numbers are drastically different on the first.

Red numbers were session 3 and green numbers were from session 2.

Not sure if session 3 (red numbers) group together all 3 sessions?

Something seems like its miscalibrated on the session with red numbers. That lie angle of 28.4, which converts to 61.6 degrees lie angle is super flat. Whereas the one from the session with the green numbers is 69 degrees which is in the more typical realm.

I think you can delete a session if I’m no mistaken

Hmm - I will try that. I sent my fitter an email to see what he would suggest. Seems like session 1&2 were fairly consistent. Again, not sure what happened with 3. Thought that was actually going to be my best session too lol!

It’s not a big deal. They’ll have you hit putts with the app during your fitting.

What are some questions you guys asked or wish you asked while you did your zoom meeting with the ping guys? I have my fitting on the 12th and would like to be as prepared as possible.

Don't fret, they are great at answering questions after the fitting too if you think of anything else

Alex got back to me this morning and said that sessions 1 & 2 are so consistent he pretty much has what he needs but if I feel like a third session needs to be redone I can do that and showed me how. I don't think i will get different results from sessions 1&2 so told him just to dismiss session 3.

@dlow206 looking at sessions 1 &2 can you help me understand what the numbers mean? Thank you!

I had asked Jeff (in person fitter) what were ideal numbers but Jeff told me the numbers are about consistency, which according to your session you are very consistent.  He said the two most important categories would be closing angle and impact angle, which affect start line.  The green number is the putting handicap, in which all of the categories you are in a plus handicap range.  The grey is the actual number of the category, not sure if it is an average?

Closing angle: your closing angle is in the slight arc range according to Ping's standards, so likely starting point is something with a slight to mid amount of toe hang, like a plumber's neck

Tempo: ping uses tempo to help determine the starting point for head weights. slower tempo equals more headweight according to Ping, but they also recognize there is a balance. they will likely recommend something with more weight for you (i.e. something above 350)

Lie angle: your lie angle is around 21 according to Ping nomenclature. according to everyone else's nomenclature, it is 69 (90 - 21).

Shaft lean: you are adding a bit of loft, so ping will use this to help determine what static loft to fit you into.

I tried to research and compare as much as possible but can someone summarize the differences between Anser D/Anser 2D/Kushin headshapes? Are the differences:

1. Kushin most linear/boxy and Anser least?

2. Kushin has a "thinner" flange height and more sloping bumpers?

3. The cavity is more boxy in Kushin?

Is there a toe hang difference? Any other feedback between these? Trying to short list between these ahead of the fitting tomorrow, and will also share back Alex's feedback on these 3 🙂

How many of these would be considered too many?

It's rhetorical because there is no actual number, but dayum...I want to order a bunch.

Btw finally gamed mine for a round.  Certainly will get used to the distance control but it feels absolutely amazing.  And didn't miss inside 5 feet.  The finish kind of "rubs" off, so the oyster finish will definitely start to look more stainless/silver/raw over time.  Assume the same for the other stainless finishes as well, so the stainless "ages" I suppose....lovely.

Don't have a pic but if you just rub the edge with your finger it lightens up a bit. Which I totally love...

Have three rounds this week, tourney play and she's comin' with me!

Had my fitting with Alex this morning, as everyone here has shared, Alex is awesome, patient and we spent 1.15 going over my stroke, tendencies and recommendations.

Landed on the cusp of Strong arc/Slight arc, was suggesting either plumbers or flow necks (4 neck for Ping). I didn't realize Kushin plumbers neck is more symmetrical than the slant but the neck would be aluminum and might not match, so was not too keen on it. So for now, I have narrowed it down to Anser D vs Kushin 4. Other random things:

1. Similar to what someone else had shared earlier, lines for strong arc putters might be distracting, so recommended a dot/top line or naked

2. Anser is marginally shorter or stubby compared to Anser 2D and Kushin

3. Obviously easy to add millings/alignment aids, can't remove them

4. Agreed that patina could be difficult to maintain, shared a story of someone who played his first round with a patina PLD in rain and left it in the headcover and had rust all over the next day. Given this, was leaning towards Oyster/Donut

5. He said the PLD graphite shaft is super stiff and kind of was hinting that is basically like rebar. Was suggesting for my stroke to go with the steel ones. Anyone who got the graphite shaft have any feedback on it?

6. Any feedback on the TR/Bubba grooves- how does it feel compared to the regular circular (AMP?) milling?

So I have a couple of days to think about whether to go with Anser D or Kushin 4 and finalize on millings and finish. So likely will lean towards double Oyster

Great info! Do you remember what your tempo was? Im curious if they recommend steel vs graphite on your tempo.
