Asian Tour during the week........

Golf Channel showing the Asian Tour during the week is new to me. Maybe they've done it before, but I don't recall. Is there a market for this viewing....I , for one am enjoying the coverage.

 

On an aside: The Saudis are backing this tour.....

Probably the same market that watches TGC during the middle of the day during the week already. I'm not in that market.

 

I imagine there are only so many reruns of old tournaments before you need other content to fill the void. I love TGC, but having a 24/7 channel dedicated to one sport and one sport only is tough. Just tune into the NFL or MLB network during the off season and you'll see what I mean.

I think more will watch if it was televised during the evening. If they added some fresh instruction shows, then they might have something.....

As much as I love watching "The Tour", I really enjoy watch early morning Euro tracks, asian tracks. Some of the non NA LPGA tracks. 

 

Real jungle foliage puts a different spin on the rough.

 

Some of those wide open links or scandanavian tracks look brutal, especially when the wind defends.

 

Nothing perfectly manicured.

They have done some of this in the past. The event that was on this morning was completed last week (3/6). GC will show some LET events at strange times as well.

I knew it wasn't very recent. with the SGL in the news and Asian tour in the news recently I thought it a little odd and maybe convenient ........

 

Plus, the fact that I wouldn't mind a little pro golf during the week.....
