HZRDUS Smoke RDX Green Vs Ventus Black Vs Ventus TR

Hi guys! Has anyone compared these three shafts? I’d love to hear what you have to say regarding performance, feel, dispersion, distance, launch, spin, etc. I’m to pair any of the three with my Stealth Plus 9 degree head. 
 

Can’t try any of them where I live so all info you can give me is well appreciated.

Smoke Green RDX and Ventus TR are still fairly new and not many are going to have experimented with both. Probably are still in trials with one of them.

 

Obviously Ventus Black is going to be stiffer and lower spin/launch than Ventus TR which is currently based on the Ventus "Blue." Dunno if we see a Ventus Black TR later this year or not.

 

Smoke Green RDX is counter balanced and a bit more of a niche offering IMO. it allows for longer shafts or for shorter clubs with weight added to the head. It is not the new "Hulk" I don't think. They say its an updated T1100. The torque numbers match the T1100, which are lower than Non-TX Smoke Green, so maybe it feels even firmer than Smoke Green? Honestly PX is getting a little over-lappy with the Smoke Green, T1100 and Smoke Green RDX IMO. In terms of stiffness/tight feel, i think it goes TX Hulk, T1100, Smoke Green RDX, Smoke Green non-TX. Maybe a PX expert can weight in. I am a HZRDUS Black, Evenflow Black, RDX Black user. Not the green, red or yellow, blue or white stuff.

I posted in another one of your threads. I just got the Smoke Green RDX today. I play a Ventus Black in my driver now. I have tried the TR but did not like it. Too much like the blue and couldn't time it well. I'll report in on how the RDX Green compares to the Black.

I spent an hour or so on the range yesterday with both the Black and RDX Green. I have to say there is not a big difference in either. Both are very linear. Both launch low and are very controlled. Both have that very mild kick that feels like it comes from the whole shaft and not a specific location. The only real difference I can note is the RDX has a crisp feeling whereas the Black has a more muted solid feel. Honestly its very hard to even notice this difference. Some people call is smooth but I wouldn't classify it that way. Both are great shafts and I am probably going to stick with the green for a while for 1 reason. It is a half inch longer and I had just as much control with it as the shorter Black. I am wanting to see how far I can stretch length and still have good control. Trying to get a few more yards out of my game now that my speed training is over for this season. As far as counterbalance on the Green, not seeing much. Less than a point vs the Black doing the math on the length. Same tip, same grip, same head it should be D7 at +1/2" vs the Black at D4. It is just barely over D6.

I am gaming the rdx green smoke in my TSI4. Nothing really scientific but thoughts below
RDX smoke green 6.0-I know it’s very stiff but l think it actually feels pretty good and not like a pole. This also has an extra gear over the others I found 

RDX smoke black 6.0- Good shaft could easily play it. Can see why it’s stock in a lot of clubs

Ventus black stiff-Nothing wrong with this shaft just didn’t wow me in any category. 

Ventus TR stiff-Best feeling but brought the lefts in which I hate randomly. Wanted this one to work

Looks like the Ventus Black TR will be released today so you'll have another shaft to demo in the matrix! 

 

From hitting the Ventus Black and the RDX green, the RDX green suits my swing more. I have a relatively harsh transition at the top of my swing and I can feel some compliance at the butt end of the shaft with the Ventus Black which I find kind of un-nerving. I think if you have a more fluid transition then the Ventus Black is a winner.

RDX Green is counterbalanced as @markheardjrstated.  I got a chance to hit a few balls with it, but my initial findings is that it's the updated version of the T1100 but it feels a bit firmer and is more stable.  Low/low shaft.  Had the Ventus Black and tested the TR extensively.  The black is mid-low/low with very little feel and linear.  No kick to it.  Dispersion was good for me.  Ventus TR is basically a Ventus Blue with a flatter trajectory that feels more stout and was a little more anti-left for me.

I actually recently just got a new stealth plus 9 degree head and went to my local club builder and he gave me these 3 exact shafts to try out. All were 6x/60g 6.5 (My club head speed is in the 111-115 range). For me the Ventus black and ventus blue TR were a clear step better than the RDX smoke green. It wasn't a bad shaft at all, just not quite what I am looking for. Almost too much of a linear feel, but at the same time didn't feel overly stiff for me. Kind of hard to explain. Ultimately it came down to the ventus black and blue TR, and it was not an easy decision. They are both very good shafts. The TR launched perfect for what I like to see, and I was able to turn it over a little easier than the Black. But my best strikes with the Black were just perfect, even with some slight heel strikes it was keeping my spin down. My miss with it is a little block right, but that is more me and not the shaft. The Black 6x ended up being my choice, and so far I am very happy with it. It's just an awesome set up.
